Following the death of a 13-year-old child, two teens were charged with serious murder and received sentences.
Maurco Tolor, 13, died, and Duane Jackson, 19, and Leroy Billips, 19, were both charged with several crimes.
According to investigators, the 13-year-old was shot multiple times in December 2021 as he was standing in the front yard of a friend’s house on Zeman Avenue in Euclid.
When Jackson was arrested in January 2022, he was Benedictine High School’s standout running back.
Later that year, Billips was taken into custody.
On Thursday, the two men received life sentences with the possibility of release after 32 years.
