Christmas day has been a gloomy one so far with a few scattered showers. Thick clouds a slow moving warm front have caused temperatures to stay trapped in the mid 30s for the majority of the day. As the warm front passes, warm air is rushing in ahead of the cold front moving towards the QCA.

Temperatures will warm up very fast and could even reach the upper 50s before the cold front passes overnight Sunday night. The front will arrive before midnight so periods of heavy rain and even a few thunderstorms are likely around that time.

After this system passes through, temperatures will be falling and continue to fall all day on Monday. Skies will be much clearer as well so it should still be nice with wind gusts close to 30 miles per hour. Temperatures are expected to remain above average all week long.
