Anthony Hawkins Obituary – Death: Albuquerque New Mexico Man, Anthony Hawkins Died by Suicide, Community Mourns
Anthony Hawkins Obituary; A cherished father and family member who died unexpectedly is being mourned by a family in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
On Saturday night, November 18, 2023, Anthony Hawkins, the adored and devoted son of Gail Hawkins, passed away from what appeared to be a suicide. Tony took his own life and was pronounced dead, according to a family acquaintance.
Currently, the family of the devoted father is in the company of the entire Christian community in Albuquerque in their time of grief. Gail, who is obviously distraught and heartbroken about her son’s passing, wrote
“New Life City family, it is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of our sweetest brother, Anthony Hawkins, who took his own life last night. We loved Anthony so much. He was a valued member of our church and was involved in many of our lives as a friend, encourager, brother, father, uncle, and son. We are deeply saddened by this heartbreaking loss. We grieve but we are not without hope. Jesus is our redeemer and our focus.During this difficult time, we kindly request that everyone respect the Hawkins family’s need for space and time to process and grieve, so please refrain from reaching out. Please pray for Anthony’s family and friends, and share the love of Jesus and care for those around you. There will be a meal train for the family in the coming days, so as a family, we will step up to support those so dear to us in this incredibly difficult time.”
Anthony was a valued member of New Life City Church and was involved in many ways as a friend, encourager, brother, father, uncle, and son. This heartbreaking loss has deeply saddened New Life City. Anthony Hawkins was a graduate of La Cueva High School and the University of New Mexico. He was a long-time resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
