Anthony Maurice Mims was an outstanding individual who faithfully and with integrity served Anne Arundel County Public Schools for over 30+ years as Maintenance Foreman at Central Middle School; this commitment will be deeply felt by family, community members, friends and all who knew him through work he did in every aspect of school life. Anthony Mims was an esteemed educator employed with Anne Arundel County Public Schools for three decades and will long be remembered by students, colleagues, alumni, and beyond for his kind generosity, hard work ethic, reliability and thoughtful approach to learning. Colleagues and students alike fondly remember Anthony for all that he contributed towards Central Middle School – from its upkeep, functioning, and creating positive environments he helped cultivate to his dedication as evidenced by the positive feedback he provided colleagues as students! Both appreciate all that Anthony did – truly one hard worker! Anthony will always be remembered fondly and fondly by daughter Ashley Mims (sister Theodosia Williams and niece Channing Harris who introduced Kevin Jones and then adopted Kevin Jones into Great-Niece Unique Brodingham who loved both sides). Anthony lived his life fully and leaves memories that will always stay strong because his deep family bonds create everlasting enduring connections that never fade with age!

Reese and Sons Mortuary is hosting an open public viewing in memory of Anthony Maurice Mims’ life and legacy on September 27, 2020, from 1-3 pm, to be followed by wake services starting at 1:30 p.m. and his funeral beginning at 2:30. This provides family, friends, colleagues, and members of the wider community an opportunity to come together in remembering and commemorating Anthony Maurice Mims while honouring him at this important stage in his journey while sharing memories as we acknowledge contributions made and commemorating what will become his legacy after his passing.
