Big Brother25 is back and better than ever, with a shocking premiere that left viewers wanting more. As the new house guests got acquainted, viewers got to learn more about the new cast and get a hold of who they are before them moving into the house. With Julie Chen Moonves teasing the first big twist of the summer, the hype surrounding the Big Brother 25 multiverse was enormous as the premiere continued. As the house guests got settled, the viewers were given a peek into what the summer has in store for thecast.

As the episode continued, the house guests competed in their first series of competitions, but there was a huge twist waiting for them as they got started. As the Big Brother multiverse shifted, the game changed, and instead of competing for the traditional first Head Of Household, they were competing to keep themselves safe. The first four nominees of the summer were crowned, and the house guests continued with the evening, met back in the kitchen with a huge surprise. A 17th house guest joined the cast of Big Brother 25, changing the course of the game immediately.

The Big Brother House Guests Were Introduced

After reading their bios and checking out their photos, it was finally time to get to know the Big Brother 25 house guests. The cast is a huge mix of people from all walks of life, including Red Utley, a self-proclaimed “chill billy” from Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Blue Kim, a brand strategist from New York City who hopes to take charge. The house guests all got traditional intro packages where they introduced themselves and talked a bit about their idea of what the BB house would be like. For some super fans like Cory Wurtenberger and Felicia Cannon, Big Brother was a dream come true.

Past Big Brother Legends Broke Into The BB House

After all the house guests were introduced and brought onto the stage, Julie explained that some Big Brother legends had broken into the house earlier in the week and changed up the game entirely. A clip featuring Big Brother 3’s runner-up Danielle Reyes, Big Brother 12 and 14’s breakout star Britney Haynes, and Big Brother 17’s competition beast Frankie Grande was shown to the house guests. The legends had broken into the house with a “time laser” to reverse the outcomes of their seasons. Throughout the clip, easter eggs about past competitions and house guests were revealed, though the house guests were stumped watching them.

Once the clip finished, Julie explained that after the Big Brother legends broke into the house, the trajectory of the game had changed entirely. With Big Brother season 25 being a milestone season for the series, the twists of the game were going to be new and huge, creating some incredibly different gameplay for the house guests throughout the summer. Julie also made sure to mention that Big Brother 25 would be the longest summer in history, spanning 100 days for the winning house guest.

Julie Revealed The Big Brother Multiverse Twist

As the house guests marveled at the clip of the Big Brother legends, Julie continued to explain the first big twist of the summer: the Multiverse. She explained that four separate universes have taken over the Big Brother game. The house guests would become familiar with the comic-verse, the humili-verse, the scary-verse, and the scramble verse throughout the summer. According to Julie, these multiverses can “twist up the game” at any time through the summer. While the concept was still vague, the house guests would find out quickly just what the multiverses are capable of.

It appears each universe has its own set of past Big Brother competitions, moments, and seasons attached to it. While some were obvious, like the comics-verse being associated with the BB comics veto competition and the humili-verse being associated with the infamous Zingbot, others were a bit more convoluted and will unfold as the summer continues. The house guests seemed shocked by the twist and weren’t even fully aware of what was coming next.

The House Guests Competed For Safety Instead Of Power

After the house guests made it through the house and into the backyard, they were greeted by four separate competitions. Julie quickly announced that the competitions, rather than making one person the Head Of Household, would determine who would be going up for elimination. The losers of each of the four competitions would be immediately put up for nomination. Each competition was themed for one of the universes, and the house guests were separated randomly by the order they entered into the Big Brother 25house. The house guests were surprised they wouldn’t be competing for power but instead for safety.

The first competition was part of the scramble-verse and asked the house guests to deconstruct a puzzle and place it into a box. Jared Fields, son of Survivor legend Cirie Fields, finished last and was named the first nominee. The second competition was part of the humili-verse. Four contestants had to pull a lever in order to have a large boot kick them in the butt 100 times, and the last contestant to reach the number would lose. Kirsten Elwin was named the nomination for the second competition.

The third competition was part of the comics-verse. It was another puzzle, this one with an explosion to reveal it was complete. 63-year-old Big Brother super fan Felicia was unable to get her puzzle together in time and became the third nominee up for eviction. Finally, an endurance competition was from the scary-verse. This competition required the remaining house guests to hold on as they were nearly dragged away by some giant hands. The first to let go was Cory, who was dragged to the “nether regions” as the fourth nominee. Julie explained he would disappear for “who knows how long,” leaving the other house guests to wonder.

Survivor Legend Cirie Fields Joined The Game

After the house guests battled for their safety, they were instructed to head back into the Big Brother house and find the next twist that would await them. In the kitchen, Survivor‘s Cirie was pouring wine for her fellow house guests and waiting for them to come inside. Though there wasn’t enough time for Julie to talk about Cirie’s entry into the game, she did get the chance to explain that it was the first time a Survivor legend had joined the Big Brother cast, making this a historic moment for the series.

Cirie’s son, Jared, was quick to notice his mother in the kitchen but tried to play it cool. Though there are severalsuper fans in the house, it was unclear if anyone truly clocked their familial resemblance. The cameras did catch Jared talking to Izzy Gleicher, with the two seemingly making some sort of pact involving a pinky swear. It’s possible that Izzy recognized Cirie immediately but pulled Jared aside to ask about it before bringing it to the rest of the house. Big Brother 25’s premiere certainly left a lot of questions still needing to be answered as the competition gets started.
