When Jungkook casually dropped the name “You & Me” during a Spotify interview, ARMYBLINKs – the hybrid fandom of BTS and BLACKPINK – collectively lost their cool.
BTS, with their beloved Maknae Jungkook, and BLACKPINK, with the charismatic Jennie, are like the titans of K-pop.
Their respective fandoms, ARMYs, and BLINKs, often engage in friendly banter over who rules the K-pop kingdom.
But when Jungkook spilled the beans on his playlist preferences, it was like a delightful crossover episode in the K-pop universe. He could have chosen any song, but he gave a nod to Jennie’s “You & Me.” It was the equivalent of dropping a mic, K-pop style.
So, ARMYBLINKs took to social media, and Twitter was set on fire. @endlsswinters expressed what everyone was feeling, “Jungkook saying he knows Jennie’s ‘You & Me’ on Spotify playlist FINALLY CRUMBS!!” These kinds of tiny moments are what really ignites the K-pop industry.
ARMYs and BLINKs often engage in friendly banter, Jungkook’s nod to Jennie’s “You & Me” was like a temporary ceasefire.
Recently, Jungkook of BTS was asked if he was familiar with any songs on K-Pop ON! on Spotify. All of South Korean artists’ most recent releases are available in the playlist section of the audio streaming app.
He answered that he knew quite a few of the songs on the list with a smile on his face. He could point out the songs he had heard.

And guess what, You & Me, a song by BLACKPINK’s Jennie that was released in October 2023, was one such song. The presence of these BTS and BLACKPINK crumbs has thrilled the fans of both artists.
He began by mentioning the songs “God of Music” by SEVENTEEN and “Chasing That Feeling” by TOMORROW X TOGETHER before deciding on Jennie’s solo album.
Jennie from BLACKPINK made her debut with You & Me during the Born Pink World Tour. She gave the song two performances before releasing it as a gift for her fans along with an official performance video.
A jazz version of the song was also delivered by Jennie. She has amassed a large fan base and her second solo release has dominated music charts.
Ditto by NewJeans: Another Gem on Jungkook’s Playlist
The next song on BTS’s Jungkook’s playlist that he disclosed was NewJeans’ Ditto. He said he had listened to the song thirty times and that it was one of his favorites right now. He was asked which song he wanted to listen to during the Spotify K-Pop ON! segment about his recovery.
Jungkook of BTS took his time and responded with Ditto from NewJeans. He also explained the history of why this song is his all-time favorite.
He revealed that he and his friends were snowboarding with BTS’s V at the time of the song’s release from NewJeans.
Though others were unconscious from exhaustion, he was thrilled to be traveling and, after enjoying himself, was looking forward to snowboarding again.
