Chainsaw Man’s New Control Devil is Officially as Dangerous as its Last

Chainsaw Man teases that the reincarnation of the Control Devil, Nayuta, is just as dangerous as her predecessor Makima. With Denji and Asa heading for a date at Denji’s house, Nayuta’s presence will make the situation explosive, and possibly reveal the truth about Yoru, the War Devil.

Nayuta is the current incarnation of the Control Devil, born after the death of Makima in Part 1 of Chainsaw Man. Kishibe, a high-ranking Public Safety Devil Hunter, found Nayuta and gave her to Denji to be raised as his little sister, to prevent her from becoming similar to Makima. After her shocking first appearance at the conclusion of the Control Devil arc, Nayuta was only briefly mentioned, and her debut in Part 2 of the manga is something that fans have been eagerly waiting for.

Nayuta Will Finally Appear Again, And She Is As Dangerous As Makima

Chapter #118 of Chainsaw Man not only teases that readers will finally get to see Nayuta, but also that this young incarnation of the Control Devil may be just as dangerous as Makima. After going on a first date at the aquarium, which was interrupted by the attack of the Eternity Devil, Denji and Asa Mitaka have developed an actual liking for each other. Denji obtained a second date, and he asks Asa to do a movie marathon at the local theater. Asa however replies that this is too expensive and that they should just watch VCRs at Denji’s home. The boy agrees but with one condition: Asa has to “follow our home’s rules”, and can’t break them no matter what, otherwise she will die.

The only reason why Denji would say that is that Nayuta is actually pretty dangerous. It has been recently confirmed that the two are still living together, and Denji is working hard to save up money for Nayuta’s future college tuition. However, even if Denji wants to give Nayuta a normal life, it’s clear that the Control Devil’s tendencies are still present and dangerous. She must have put very strict rules in place in their house using the Control Devil’s powers, and whoever breaks them will suffer gruesome consequences. It will be interesting to see how Nayuta will interact with Asa, who is also the host of Yoru, the War Devil, the Control Devil’s “sister” and fellow member of the Four Horsemen.

Neither Denji nor Asa are aware of the other’s secrets, which is the perfect setup for an explosive situation. It will also be rewarding to finally witness Denji and Nayuta’s familiar relationship. According to Pochita, the Control Devil’s dream was to form a real family with people not influenced by her powers, and Denji gave her that. It’s easy to predict that Nayuta will see Asa as a threat and react accordingly, showing that Chainsaw Man‘s second Control Devil is just as dangerous as her predecessor Makima.
