Chris Novecosky Obituary-Death News; In Loving Memory Of Chris Novecosky

We announce the sad news of Joe Novecosky, his brother Chris, and their niece’s passing with deep sadness. Both brothers tragically died on November 4, 2023, while heroically attempting to save their relatives who had fallen through the ice from drowning. The town of Humboldt, Saskatchewan, will never forget the death of these courageous people.

Chris Novecosky was not merely one of these people. He was a loving spouse to Kristen Bilawchuk, his wife of four years. He was a devoted friend, a loving uncle, a caring brother, and a loving son. His life served as an example of unfailing bravery, unselfish service, and unconditional love.

A genuinely amazing man is no longer with us. Chris placed others before himself and died as he lived. He gave his own life in order to save others, exhibiting the highest form of love.

Throughout his life, Chris’s generosity of spirit and loving heart touched many lives. Those who were acquainted with him will recall his contagious laugh, consoling demeanour, and capacity to brighten every space he stepped into.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Chris’s wife Kristen, who has lost her closest companion and friend. The people of Humboldt are coming together to support her during this unbearably painful and heartbreaking period.

It is only right that we show Kristen the same compassion during this trying time, as she and Chris were always there for others in need. We may lessen the financial strain of unforeseen expenses encountered at such a tragic incident by banding together as a community. The family truly appreciates any donations, regardless of size.
