A Clinton man has died after drowning in a lake near Sabula, Iowa.
On Saturday, Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 607th Avenue in rural Sabula shortly after 1 pm. While searching the lake, they found 21-year-old Eugene Kemp, Jr.
Rescue crews pulled Kemp from the water and took him to Mercy Hospital in Clinton, where he was pronounced dead.
The incident is being investigated.
