It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Danna Thompson, a resident of Florence, Alabama, on December 29, 2023.
Mrs. Danna was born and raised in Florence. She graduated from Florence High School and then attended the University of North Alabama, where she met her future husband, Dr. James F. Thompson Jr.
Throughout her life, Danna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She devoted all her love to her family and was a strong spiritual support for those around her.

Loved ones who preceded her in death include son Carter Price Thompson, siblings Jim Martin and Connie Dreher, and her biological parents.
Those left behind to continue to remember and love her are her husband Dr. Thompson, her two sons James “Forrest” Thompson and Dan Martin Thompson, her three sisters Betty McGuire, Pat Nerren and Myrna Martin, and grandchildren biological Nathan Thompson, Natalie Thompson, Nicolas Thompson and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of fresh flowers, the family would like people to make donations to the American Cancer Society or other charities in memory of Mrs. Danna Thompson. We sincerely thank everyone for their interest and sharing.
Mrs. Danna Thompson will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Pray for her soul to rest in eternal peace.
