Fans are urging Markiplier to delete an old video in which he plays a gory game called The Hospital as it resurfaces years on. The American YouTuber has more than 35 million subscribers and has been making videos since 2012.

Markiplier’s The Hospital video resurfaces

The video was uploaded on January 22 2016 and is still on the 35-year-old’s channel. It sees him playing an internet game called The Hospital which contains a series of terrifying jump scares.

Markiplier controls a character who is walking through a dark building. As he plays the game, many gory images of humans and other horrific things of an incredibly disturbing nature pop up.

Jumpscare videos and games emerged on social media in the 2000s and aimed to shock people with scary images that suddenly appear when you least expect it.

“Jumpscaring like it’s 2013! Quite a flashback to the old days!” the YouTuber wrote in the caption.

The video has resurfaced after the internet star, whose real name is Mark Edward Fischbach, uploaded a photo of himself in the hospital.

Many searched ‘Markiplier hospital’ to try and find out why he was unwell and were instead greeted with the horrifying video.

Fans urge YouTuber to delete gory video

Many have taken to Twitter to urge Markiplier to delete the disturbing video.

One person wrote: “Hey I’d delete your old video titled ‘The Hospital’, it contains some pretty vile and yucky stuff that DEFINITELY should not be on YouTube, particularly in the jumpscares.”

“Markiplier the jumpscares in the video called the hospital that you uploaded in 2016 is real gore. Please delete it, or re-upload it with the pictures blurred,” said another.

A third person added: “Markiplier you might wanna go check out your letsplay from The Hospital back in 2016. There’s real uncensored gore in your video.”

“Hey mark you may want to delete your playthrough of The Hospital. There is blatantly real gore in it, uncensored and without warning,” someone else tweeted.

YouTube doesn’t allow graphic content

In its terms, YouTube states: “Violent or gory content intended to shock or disgust viewers, or content encouraging others to commit violent acts, are not allowed on YouTube.”

They urge everyone to report any content that violates this policy. To report a YouTube video, click on the three dots below the video and tap Report.

Some topics that come under violent and graphic content include road accidents, natural disasters, war aftermath, terrorist attack aftermath, animal abuse, physical attacks, torture and corpses.
