Tataru has a story-driven quest at the end of Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, whichbrings together all of the major generals from the war, including alliance captains Sicard, Pipin Tarupin, A-Ruhn-Senna, and Emmanellin de Fortemps. It also connects with old plot beats from Heavensward, giving sneak peeks into future lore.
While this Final Fantasy XIV questline doesn’t currently have a significant reward, it will probably lead to one in patch 6.5. This will likely be a cosmetic item, minion, or other non-combat-related goods. By completing the early portions now, players won’t need to rush in the future.
As part of the component is a level 60 fight, players can get extra rewards by doing it before reaching Final Fantasy XIV max level cap of 90. This might be impossible for those that already leveled every combat job. However, it can even include newly unlocked and limited classes like Blue Mage – who can gain certain spells from the raids.
Grand Endeavor Quests in Final Fantasy XIV
After gaining level 90 on any combat job and completing all of Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker’s main story, Tataru will have a new questline. She can first be found in The Rising Stones (x: 6, y: 5.9) and will give players the Wayfarer’s outfit. Once obtained, players can go to Old Sharlayan and speak to Tataru’s new assistant, Mehdjina (x: 11.8, y:9.8). She will have two quests in succession: Small Business, Big Dreams, and Soaring Profits.
Small Business, Big Dreams

First, go to Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks and speak to Hasthwab (x:5, y:15), who will summon Sicard. After getting his confirmation, go to New Gridania and talk to Mother Miounne (x:11.7, y:13.5). She doesn’t know A-Ruhn-Senna’s exact location but thinks he is out on a mission. Attempt to leave through the main gates, and the Padjal will arrive and agree to help. Next, go to Ul’dah and speak to the Usher (x:10.7, y:11.2), and a cutscene with Pipin will play out, much like the others. Once all three have confirmed, go back to Mehdjina to finish the quest.
Soaring Profits
For the second part, Mehdjina will suggest going to Emmanellin. To do so, players must complete the entire Shadow of Mhach 24-man raid series at any point in the past. This includes Final Fantasy XIV raids Void Ark, The Weeping City of Mhach, and Dun Scaith. These are all level 60 and will yield both EXP and tomestones if synced to that original level. They also must turn in the final raid-related story quest, A Redbill Farewell.
After doing so, one can speak to Laniaitte at The Sea of Clouds (x: 17, y:37.3). This will reintroduce Leofard from the previous raids. He will give players a basic merchant disguise buff – if lost, speak to Stacia in Idyllshire at any point to reapply it. They will have 30 minutes to three marked residences around Idyllshire. Next, escort Leofard to the highlighted location to play out a cutscene. At its end, it will introduce the painter Duremert, who will now offer his services to paint various portraits for 20,000 Gil each. Finally, players can purchase housing items depicting some of the major Final Fantasy XIV protagonists, including Y’shtola, Thancred, and Urianger.

Summary: Final Fantasy 14 (Final Fantasy XIV) is the fourteenth entry in the Final Fantasy franchise. It is an MMORPG that initially launched in 2010 before it was completely rebuilt from the ground up for a 2013 release as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. After the events of the 2010 iteration’s conclusion, where the primal dragon Bahamut brings calamity to the land of Eorza, the player survives and is sent into the future by five years in a world that has begun to rebuild, but now thrust into the middle of a war from the Garlean Empire. As a consistently expanding world with an ever-scaling storyline, Final Fantasy XIV’s narrative grows with each expansion, with the core experience still surrounding working with other players and NPCs as they level and customize their characters, engage in real-time events, and coordinate teams to enter massive dungeons to face raid bosses. The game is available to play with people of several nations and has a massive translatable vocabulary for players to be able to work with one another despite language barriers. The most recent expansion pack, Endwalker, was released in December of 2021 and follows the trend of each title releasing roughly every two years. Final Fantasy XIV is available as a free-to-play title up to level 60, where the game then transitions to a subscription model. The game is playable on Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, as the PlayStation 3 version was shuttered in 2017.
