Four teens were arrested early Saturday night after Jo Daviess County deputies pulled over a speeding vehicle connected to several vehicle burglaries and stolen vehicles.
Theodore Forsberg, 19, of Apple River, Ill., Benjamin Gourley, 19, of Dubuque, and a 15-year-old, also from Dubuque, and a 16-year-old, of Galena, were arrested.
Deputies received a call around 1:45 a.m., and pulled that vehicle over at the intersection of Elizabeth-Scales Mound Rd. and Shaw Rd. in rural Elizabeth, Ill.
During the investigation, a deputy smelled burnt cannabis. Deputies brought out a K-9 who alerted them to the odor. Deputies then performed a search and located several stolen items of property.
All of the teens were placed under arrest and charged with felony burglary.
All suspects were taken to Jo Daviess County Jail.
During further investigation, deputies found a stolen firearm.
The incident remains under investigation.
