Glenview Middle School is the only QC school to offer Mariachi music lessons

We’re celebrating Hispanic Heritage month at Local 4 News, today we introduce you to students from Glenview Middle School in East Moline. They’re learning how to play traditional Mexican music.

The Glenview Middle School mariachi band started in 2015. It’s the only mariachi band with middle school students here in the Quad Cities. The nearest school district to offer something like this is in Chicago.
