Mr. Scholl’s contributions to the world of railroading, particularly through his extensive video productions featuring iconic steam engines like the 611 and 1218, have left an indelible mark on enthusiasts worldwide.
Born on December 31, 1950, Greg’s love affair with trains began in his early years as his father, Warren, instilled in him a fascination for the railroad. Greg’s childhood memories include witnessing the final years of steam on the N&W Cincinnati-Portsmouth line. His early exposure sparked a lifelong journey of chasing trains across North America and beyond.
Greg’s pursuits took him on numerous adventures, capturing the essence of steam locomotives in countries such as Canada, Mexico, Europe, and South Africa. As technology evolved, he established Greg Scholl Video Productions, creating over 250 titles that showcased the beauty and power of trains.
