Hikari Kuina (Alice in Borderland): Does She Die in the Series? Plot, Ending Explained, Instagram and More
What are you going to do if the thing that used to make you happy turns out to be the only thing that can keep you alive? In the story “Alice in Borderland,” a gamer with an unhealthy obsession finds himself transported to a desolate and faraway world where the only way to stay alive is to play a game and come out on top.
Sounds like “Jumanji”? To put it another way, one could say that “Alice in Borderland” is the “Jumanji” of our day.
On the other hand, the human interactions and feelings that are shown in the Japanese series are a lot more genuine and obviously complicated.
“Alice in Borderland” is a Japanese thriller sci-fi drama that was conceived of and developed by Yoshiki Watabe and Yasuko Kuramitsu. The show is based on the graphic novel (manga) of the same name written by Haro Aso.
The first season consists of eight episodes, each of which is roughly forty minutes long and is spoken in Japanese.

Alice in Borderland: Does Kuina Die?
No, Kuina doesn’t die in ‘Alice in Borderland.’ When it became clear that she did not have outstanding talent in martial arts, her father began expressing his disappointment in her, and she began applying cosmetics to herself in response to his criticism.
In the old world, this prompted her father to begin verbally abusing her. Kuina soon moved out and began working as a sales clerk in the clothing industry.
Kuina went to see her mother in the hospital after hearing the news that her parents were getting a divorce and that her mother’s health was failing.
Her mother complimented Kuina on how stunning she looked after seeing her in her current form. Because of this, Kuina decided to spend the rest of her life taking care of her mother.
Since Kuina’s mother was still in the hospital when she arrived in the Borderlands, her desire to go back to the old world is mostly motivated by her sense of responsibility toward her mother as well as the affection she feels for her.
At the beginning of the second season, she is able to evade the King of Spades and follows Arisu’s plan to take part in the game that will be held by the King of the Clubs.
This is done in the hopes that the King of Spades will be distracted by the game and will no longer pursue them.
After he makes the ultimate sacrifice for his team in order to help Arisu beat the King of Clubs, their group must say goodbye to Tatta, a player who had become particularly important to Kuina throughout the course of the game.
After that, she bids farewell to Arisu and Usagi, assuring each of them that they will cross paths once more in the future.
After that, she makes her way to the hospital room in the old world where her mother is being treated, and there she reaffirms her determination to be reunited with her mother.

Aya, is a 28-year-old model and actress born on October 6, 1993 in Sumoto, Hyogo, Japan. As well as Alice in Borderland, she is known for her roles in Girl Gun Lady (2021) and Grand Blue (2020).

Hikari Kuina (Alice in Borderland): Role
In Alice in Borderland, she plays Hikari, who is a resident at ‘The Beach’. People who reside at The Beach are working together to collect as many cards as possible in the games, in the hopes that they can then escape the world in turn.
Alongside Chishiya, Hikari plots to steal the deck of cards from Hatter.
In a flashback, it is revealed that Hikari is transgender, and she was thrown out of her home by her father as a child.
Alice in Borderland: Kunia on the Game
During the seventh episode, Kuina takes part in a game called Target that is facilitated by the Queen of Clubs. This is one of the games that did not make an appearance in the first manga series created by Haro Aso.
After reuniting at the location, Kuina and Ann make the decision to collaborate in order to take down the Queen of Clubs and bring their blimp to the ground.
Club games require players to work together in order to be successful. Elsewhere, further face cards are vanquished as well, and their blimps are destroyed, leaving the King of Spades and the Queen of Hearts as the only two face cards that are still in play.
Kuina and Ann join forces with Arisu, Usagi, Aguni, and Akane in order to defeat the King of Spades, but they come dangerously close to losing their lives in the process.
After Arisu and Usagi win the game with the last face card, the Queen of Hearts, Kuina is given the option to either stay in the Borderlands and become a citizen or to return to the old world. She chooses to stay in the Borderlands and become a citizen.
The second option is the one that she goes with, and as a result, she wakes up in a hospital with some of the other survivors.
After a meteorite erupted above Tokyo, she has no memory of what occurred at the Borderlands, and it is discovered that she had a heart arrest and was clinically dead for some time after the event.
At the end of the season, she is able to get back together with her mother. Additionally, her father is present there. It is clear that the possibility of losing his child for all time has awakened his feelings of love for Kuina.
Alice in Borderland: Plot
The upcoming Netflix show “Imawa No Kuni No Arisu,” also known as “Alice in Borderland,” is a sci-fi thriller that will premiere in 2020 and is based on the graphic novel “Alice in Borderland” written by Haro Aso.
The show will revolve around a series of life-threatening games in which players are not allowed to choose either “Death” or “Life.”
The lives of Arisu, Karube, and Chota, three of the best friends in the world, are at the center of this tale.
The three of them have relatively active lifestyles; while Chota and Karube make a living by working in an information technology firm and a bar, respectively, Arisu spends the most of his time inside his home playing video games.
His brother Hajime and his father are always disturbed and annoyed by his behavior, but Arisu doesn’t appear to care much about what they think of him.
Things were different after Arisu’s mother passed away, despite Hajime’s desire for him to work and earn a living for his own sake.
It was quite evident that Arisu had closed off the rest of the world. In point of fact, Arisu is exceptionally bright and brilliant, and his powers enable him to decipher any puzzle or secret code in a matter of seconds.
At the same time, Karube is carefree yet has a propensity to make a number of poor choices all at once, whereas Chota skipped work and was absent for numerous days.
Every single one of them was unhappy with at least one aspect of their existence. They even cause a car accident on the road, which causes the police to follow them, so Arisu, Chota, and Karube hide in a public restroom to avoid any issue.
The trio makes the decision to get together and spend the day having fun with each other. The lights go out all of a sudden, and there is complete and utter silence throughout the entire location.
The group of three exits the public toilet, only to discover that the entire crowd has vanished without a trace. To tell you the truth, everything was going swimmingly until a massive screen appeared in the next building. It announced that the start of a game would take place very soon.
They are pointed in the opposite direction by an arrow, and once there, the three individuals see flashing red lights in the sky.
As a result, they choose to continue in the same direction and eventually find the GM Building. It was the only area within their environs that had any light coming from it.
When the group of three entered the structure, they discovered a sign that stated, “The game arena is up ahead.”
They spotted an arrow in the distance, and after considering their options, they chose to follow it. The group walks right through the beam of light from the laser gun and comes across several different phones.
Alice in Borderland: Ending Explained
During the last round of the game, Arisu discovers that two other females organized this survival game in accordance with the orders given to them by their superiors.
The mystery is solved by the video recording that was found on the phone of the deceased girl.
A group of people were putting bets on the games that were being televised and the players who were participating in them inside of a concealed room that was located deep within the subway.
It gave the impression that Borderland is like a human racetrack where spectators make their wagers on different players, even though there was nothing in particular that suggested this.
Following the completion of the last game, Arisu travels to the secret chamber and discovers that all of the aforementioned middlemen have passed away. This is because the players have reached the end of the game.
Nevertheless, Arisu and the other players are taken aback when an unexpected emergency broadcast begins.
They have only finished the first stage of the game so far; it is still early in the process. In order for the players to finally advance to the actual world, they need to compete for the Face Cards, which feature a variety of distinct symbols.
The information is delivered by Mira, who is a member of the Hatter’s board. She was actually the first game master and the one who came up with the idea for Borderland.
New and exciting survival games will be introduced in the second season of “Alice in Borderland.”
These games will require players to fight for their lives and gather the remaining cards in the deck in order to escape this post-apocalyptic-style parallel universe.
