Twice Chaeyoung tattoos have made a new history with the K-pop star flaunting them at a photo shoot. Fans took it to celebrate the South Korean artist’s beautiful tattoos and exploring the meaning behind them.
For the ones not familiar with Chaeyoung’s tattoos, up until now, the Twice artist had to cover up her tats for various shoots. The topic of tattoos is still somewhat sensitive and regarded as a taboo for the general population of South Korea. They are often associated with anti-social norms.
While a number of K-pop artists are particularly famous for their tats including BTS’ talented vocalist Jungkook or Big Bang’s G-Dragon, female K-pop artists mostly stay away from showing them off as to maintain their acceptability among all people.

Twice Chaeyoung’s tattoos explored
Twice Chaeyoung has often shown her tattoos through fan apps like Bubble where she talked about it saying most often, she has to ‘cover-up.’ In May this year, Chaeyoung took to Twitter to show off her new tats. She wrote, “It’s been a while since I had it, but I just didn’t get the show it to you! You probably didn’t know cus I always had to cover them.”
The singer has quite a few tattoos including an arrow shot through a heart behind her ears, strawberry lips on her wrist, flowers on her fingers, carrots on her hand, tomatoes on her arms, fish, a birdcage, and some unknown designs. Check the complete list here.

Twice fans celebrate Chaeyoung flaunting tats at a photoshoot
On August 12, Twice fans had a meltdown realizing that the 22-year-old K-pop songstress is happily flaunting her arm tattoos in a photoshoot. Instead of covering them up like usual, the new treatment towards her stunning body arts made a new history for girl groups, fans said.
A Twice Chaeyoung tattoo enthusiast gushed, “CHAEYOUNG’S TATTOOS ARE BREATHING THANK YOU OH BOY!” Another commented, “I just woke up to see CHAEYOUNG trending and fvck, I saw how her tattoos breathing and CHAEYOUNG being the coolest kindest multi talented girl!”
An ecstatic Twice fan posted, “no I will never shut up about son Chaeyoung being the coolest kindest earth lover who is multi-talented and always encourages self-acceptance and love!”

Meaning behind Twice Chaeyoung’s tattoos
There has been a lot of speculation behind the meaning of Chaeyoung’s tattoos as tattoos are mostly personal and often carry significance for every individual differently. So far, fans have deciphered some of the meanings behind her tattoos, though they are mostly theories.
Strawberry lips
Fans believe that the strawberry lip tattoo of Chaeyoung represents her love for the girl group as it carries the official color of Twice, apricot, and neon magenta.
The tomato, carrots, and an arrow shot through the heart can indicate the singer’s love for various members and a representation of that. The arrow signifies Sana as she took part in writing ‘shot through heart.’
