In recent years, Netflix has been a great platform for up-and-coming acting talent to make a name for themselves.
The latest thriller to land on the streamer, Devil in Ohio, is another prime example as alongside some established cast members, the series also sees some new faces arrive on the scene.
One of the most notable cast members in Devil in Ohio is Xaria Dotson who plays Jules, the daughter of lead character Suzanne, but what do we know about the actress – from her age and Instagram to previous roles?

Starring Emily Deschanel and Madeleine Arthur, the series tells the story of psychiatrist Dr Suzanne Mathis who meets a young woman named Mae who arrived at the hospital with a gnarly wound on her back.
After failing to find a foster home for Mae, Suzanne agrees to look after the girl herself, but all is not as it seems with Mae and it quickly becomes clear that she was once part of a satanic cult.
Suzanne’s decision to welcome Mae into her home not only threatens to turn her family’s lives upside down but also puts them in potentially grave danger.
Meet actress Xaria Dotson
Born on December 27, 1997, in Portland, Oregon, Xaria Dotson is 24 years of age at the time of Devil in Ohio’s release.
According to her bio on IMDb, Xaria’s passion for film and storytelling began at a young age as she spent most of her childhood reading books or repeatedly rewinding her favourite VHS tapes.
Xaria took her first steps on the road to becoming an actress when she joined her local children’s theatre at the age of 11 which sparked a love of performing.
Like many actors in the modern industry, Xaria is highly active on social media, most notably on Instagram, where she currently has a following of just under 10,000 at the time of writing.
Xaria Dotson’s previous roles
After taking her first steps into acting at the age of 11, Xaria made her first on-screen appearance in a 2013 short film named Red Courage.
Since then, the 24-year-old actor has gone on to appear in a total of seven roles with her most notable credits coming in the Facebook Watch horror series The Birch as well as the Netflix series American Vandal.
Other credits for the actress have come in the short film Double Oh Awesome, the film American Brothers and an episode of the TBS series, Chad.
Devil in Ohio is available to stream now on Netflix after premiering on September 2, 2022.
