How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

So, due to the high demand for a good guide and insider knowledge, I feel the need to do some helper articles. This mini-series of the article will be to help those new budding pokemon trainers get on their feet in Crystal Clear. It is also to help direct you to the place where you can get properly updated on the Crystal Clear happenings. In the light that other sites have copied and pasted stuff from the documentation, I’d rather point you in the right direction. I’ll provide some insight and play tips, but remember that you can find all this info on your own in the docs. This series won’t be all-encompassing but will cover some more frequently searched subjects.
And again, my best recommendation though for all the information you need is to check the documentation, where all this info is available. So without further ado, I think the most pressing matter is the location of HMs.

HMs and Their Locations

HM05 Flash

So, I think it’s better to get the least useful out of the way: HM05 Flash. This HM really doesn’t have a use other than in a few caves in the game. It is only obtainable after getting one badge. You can get this from either Sprout Tower on the first floor of the Scientist hiding in the pokecenter outside Rock Tunnel on Route 10. This makes sense since it lights caves up, I guess.

HM01 Cut

HM01 is only obtainable after getting two badges. Your options are to go see the charcoal kiln or the gatehouse on the East half of Route 2 and talk to the Scientist. This badge has utility in opening up certain bonus areas to allow getting more loots. Your other option is to forget about getting it and go with getting the Sword instead. The Sword is obtainable by doing a side quest in Cherrygrove Bay West of Cherrygrove City. This side quest requires no badges.

HM06 Whirlpool

This HM never changed location, but the requirements for it were altered to fit more with the premise. You have to either beat Clair as your first gym to open Dragon’s Den or have two badges to open it up. It’s really simple, but Whirlpool really only has a use around the Whirl Islands where you find a certain legendary. Also, Squirtle lives there, too.

HM02 Fly

So, Fly may be the most useful of the HMs in terms of usage in the game. It gets you from place to place really easily. It also allows going to most of the places on the map once you teach it. This one requires you to have three badges though but is pretty simple to find. If you have played a Gen1 game in your life then you should be able to find the Kanto location on Route 16, West of Celadon. In Johto, it’s the same place as vanilla, from Chuck’s wife wandering outside Cianwood Gym. Your other option is to get Kenya from the guard in the gatehouse north of Goldenrod, and if you happen to finish that quest, you do keep Kenya. Kenya can be obtained without getting those pesky badges, after which Fly is yours to command.

HM03 Surf

So, this is one of the few HMs that have a location that requires no badges. If you go the Safari Warden’s House in Fuschia City, to the East of the Pokecenter, it’s in the boxes. You can just go up and take one or talk to the Warden’s daughter first. Nonetheless, it’s free for the taking without any restrictions. The other location, on the other hand, requires four Badges and is in the Dance Theater in Ecruteak. You just gotta talk to the kid in there (though not the Rhyhorn guy; that guy gives you the Clear Bell).

HM04 Strength

This is our final HM with the possibility of two different requirements depending on the region. You can get it free, without restriction in the Olivine Cafe from the Sailor in the middle of the room. He just wants to help you light-weights get some meat on those bones. The Kanto location requires four badges and is obtained from the Sailor to the East as you come onto the Vermilion Docks (he’s brown).

HM07 Waterfall

This is one of our few badges that is just free for the taking. HM07 can be found in the same place in Johto on Ice Path and you don’t need any badges for it. You still need to slide on the ice, but that is about it.

Optimum Startup Pathing

So, my first pick of things to grab is the HM Surf from Fuschia. North of Cerulean there is a Fast Ferry location and you just take that to Cinnabar. The Fast Ferry terminal there connects to Fuschia; just go through the door and to the East. Then you can go back to the terminal after grabbing Surf and go to Olivine. The Fast Ferry dock is West of Olivine so you need to head East. Grab HM Strength and then make your way to Cherrygrove. Surf to the West off of the shore in Cherrygrove and head up north until you hit a cave entrance on the mountainside. I’m not covering this side quest for the Sword, but that is what you are after. Once you’re done with that you have free reign of most of the region. You can head to Goldenrod and grab Kenya for that Fly, as well.
Be sure to check out the Crystal Clear discord for more information and help and don’t forget to check the documentation.

Surf To Cianwood!

You can go to Cianwood City by surfing from Olivine City. In the water, you’ll battle a few trainers, and catch Tentacool and Tentacruel. There are some rocks that could be smashed by using Rock Smash. Krabby is there.

Chuck, Chuck, Chuck

Chuck is the gym leader of the Cianwood Gym. You’ll see some boulders blocking your way. No problem, just use Strength to move them out of your way.

Chuck trains fighting Pokemon. Beat him to earn $3,000 (some which are sent to mom, like always), TM 01 – Dynamic Punch, and a Storm Badge. Now, all Pokemon up to lv. 70 will obey you, and you can now use Fly outside of battles.

I Believe I Can Fly

After beating Chuck, talk to the lady outside the gym to get HM 02 – Fly. Now you can fly (Yay!).

Taking A Picture

Now, above the gym, there’s a house with a man inside that’ll take a picture of one of your Pokemon. Now you can print it out on your Gameboy Printer, if you have one that is.

In another house, a green-haired man asks you if you can take care of his Shuckle for a while. But you’ll need to have an extra space for Shuckle, which means you’ll need to only have five Pokemon with you. Say yes, and Shuckle is yours.

Finally The Medicine

Stop by another house to finally get the medicine from a guy wearing sunglasses, a Secret Potion Jasmine needs for her sick Pokemon before battling you.

How to Get Fly in Pokémon CrystalBefore you go any where else, the time has come for you to meet Suicune. Just go north of the city, and you’ll find a house. To your upper-right hand corner, inside a line of rocks, is Suicune. Its just standing there. Now go near it, and it’ll hop away. Then, Euisine will come to talk to you about getting a glimps of Suicune. Then, he’ll battle you.

How to Get Fly in Pokémon CrystalAfter you beat him, go into the house where you’ll see a person, known as Poke Seer, who will tell you about one of your Pokemon. He will tell you the place you caught that Pokemon, the time, the happiness, and the level. Now, either surf or test out your new wings (not really) to get back to Olivine City.

Deliver The Medicine

How to Get Fly in Pokémon CrystalOnce you are back in Olivine City, go to the lighthouse again to give Jasmine the Secret Potion for her sick Pokemon. Now Jasmine will go back to her gym.

Jasmine has two Magnimite, and shouldn’t be too hard to beat with a rock-type Pokemon such as Geodude or Onix. She also have a Steelix, which is five levels higher than the lv. 30 Magnimite. $3,500, TM 23 – Iron Tail, and the Mineral Badge are yours if you beat Jasmine.

Sunny of Sunday

Head back to Ecruteak City, the place where the gym leader, Morty, has ghost-type Pokemon. On Sundays, Sunny will walk amoungst 3 berry plants> on the right side of Route 37. Talk to Sunny, and he’ll give you Magnet, which increases the power of electric attacks.

Next, exit east from the city using the Route Gate and you’ll arrive at Mt. Mortar, located on Route 42.

Deep in Mt. Mortar, a trainer named Karate King will give you Tyrogue if you beat him. Bring only five Pokemon with you, or else he won’t give it to you. You’ll also need Waterfall to get to him.

On your way to the Karate King, you’ll find an item ball with Dragon Scale. Also, near the Dragon Scale, you’ll find TM 40 – Defense Curl.

There are three plants right outside of the middle entrance to Mt. Mortar surronded by small trees. You’ll need a Pokemon with Cut in order to obtain the stuff. You’ll get a Pink Apricorn, a Green Apricorn, and a Yellow Apricorn. Use Headbutt on the trees, and you might find something. I found an Aipom. In Crystal, you’ll see Suicune right here. Go up to it, and it’ll run off. Head east now, and you’ll find yourself in Mahogany Town.

You can encounter Celebi in Pokemon Crystal Pokemon Company

Pokémon Crystal is available now for the Nintendo 3DS virtual console, and while Pokémon fans relive their Johto adventure, they’ll also want to grab the special Celebi in the game.

When Pokémon Crystal first released in 2000, Celebi could only be obtained through a special distribution event. The event opened up a small post-game scenario that included the GS Ball from the Pokémon anime. However, the re-release of the Gen 2 game will already have this event in it, without outside help.

So how do you get Celebi into your Pokémon Crystal game? Here are the steps to obtaining the Grass and Psychic-type Pokémon.

You’ll first need to defeat the main game. Defeat the Elite Four and become the Champion of the Kanto Region in Pokémon Crystal.

Fly to Goldenrod City and go to the Pokémon Communication Center where the Nurse should give you a GS Ball. Fly to Azalea Town and give the GS Ball to Kurt.

After giving the Ball to Kurt, you’ll have to wait 24 hours in real time.

After waiting 24 hours, Kurt will give you the GS Ball back and you can bring it to the shrine in Ilex Forest, which will cause Celebi to appear.

This special Celebi will come at Level 30 and know the moves Recover, Safeguard, Ancient Power and Future Sight.

Celebi is one of many Mythical Pokémon that were discovered in the various Pokémon games and like most of them, Celebi can learn a ton of moves and can be taught almost all of the TMs found in the Pokémon games.

If you catch Celebi in Pokémon Crystal, you can even transfer it over to your Pokémon Sun and Moon or Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon game using the Pokémon Bank feature. It’s a great addition to your team and a relatively easy way to fill up your PokeDex.

Pokémon Crystal for the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console is available to download now.

What are your plans for Celebi after you catch it? Let us know and how you are enjoying Pokémon Crystal in the comments section below.

I’ve talked to the gym leader in the tower and she needs me to get her medicine from cianwood but there’s a guy on the pier that won’t let me through idk how to get rid of him

4 Answers

You need to surf over to Cianwood, just go to the west of Olivine City where you’ll find a beachy area. Surf to south and west and you’ll get to Cianwood.

If you didn’t get surf yet, you need to go to Ecruteak City and battle and beat the 5 dancers in the dance hall north of the Pokemon Center. When you beat them, speak to the gentleman who will then give you surf, HM3.

Here’s info/pictures of the area:

Also, ignore the guy in the pier, you can only access that after you beat the Elite 4.

Hope that helped.

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

For the best answers, search on this site

That never happened with me. Its either you didnot finish some parts in the game.. or maybe you are surfing in the wrong area. if its the second case,do this,Come out of the Lighthouse. go to route 40(If you dont know where it is,check the map). and from the bottom of route 40, you can surf. Keep surfing. You will come across whirlpools(you cant clear whirpools, for the timebeing),so there is another way. Go through the other way and keep going, you would get to cianwood city.

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

Hey I got the same problem here (this is not a answer) well actually i have got the Surf HM3 But I Don’t have a water Pokemon. Somebody Please tell Me What should I Do.

Pokemon Crystal offers a few new one-off Pokemon, in addition to the ones introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver. For the most part the ways described on the page are the only way to get these Pokemon. There are, however, some exceptions. These Pokemon are handed to you by trainers, most of which are under special conditions.

Location: New Bark Town

Method:
Naturally, the first Pokйmon you obtain is the starter Pokйmon. Like in all games, once you have chosen your starter, your rival will pick the Pokйmon that is super effective against yours

Location: Goldenrod City

Method:
The first gift Pokemon you are likely to encounter is in the form of a carrier pidgeon Spearow. The Pokemon’s trainer is encountered on Route 35 and the destination is Route 31. Spearow comes holding mail which you can simply transfer to another Pokemon if you wish to keep the tiny bird Pokemon. Upon delivery of the mail, you will receive TM50 Nightmare.

Location: Goldenrod City

Method:
After meeting Bill in Ecruteak City, head back to Goldenrod City and find his house. Along with getting a phone number for the PC from his sister, you can pick up an Eevee of his for free. The Eevee comes at Level 20 and is Normal-type so it’ll be useful against the Ecruteak Gym when it learns Bite or Mud-Slap. Although it has five evolutions, Espeon or Umbreon are the ones you’ll be most likely to see because of the rarity of evolutionary stones in these game. Both are also excellent for the Ecruteak Gym.

Location: Dragon’s Den

Method:
After defeating Clair and earning the badge, one of the monks will give you a test. If you answer correctly, stating that you think of Pokйmon as friends, rather than tools, you will receive a special Dratini with the special move of Extremespeed. If you answer that the Pokйmon are just tools, you’ll receive a Dratini without Extremespeed

Location: Violet City

Method:
The egg that you had at the beginning of the game will be given back to you after beating Falkner, should you go to the Violet City Pokemon Center. The egg should hatch into Togepi by the time you reach Goldenrod City. Togepi doesn’t know any attacking moves when it hatches so you’ll have to baby it for a while before using it in battle. However, upon evolution it gains a formidable Special Defense and decent Special Attack stat in Togetic.

Location: Cianwood City

Method:
After having all of his Pokemon stolen by your rival, a guy in Cianwood City will entrust to you his Level 15 Shuckle for safekeeping. The mold Pokemon can only be acquired through Rock Smash in Cianwood City and Vermilion City otherwise so it may be worth your while to pick this one up. Although its defenses are stellar, it has pitiful Attack and Special Attack and learns very few useful moves. An interesting quirk is that giving Shuckle a Berry will create Berry Juice some time after. Mania will want his Shuckle back after you keep it for a while, though it is up to you whether you want to give it back or not.

Location: Mt. Mortar

Method:
Deep inside Mt. Mortar lies the Karate King. He will challenge you to a battle with a Level 34 Hitmonchan and Level 34 Hitmonlee. This battle is very similar to the one in Red and Blue against him so whatever tactics you used against him then will work here. Upon defeat he will give you a Level 10 Tyrogue, which can evolve into Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, or Hitmontop depending on its stats. You must have less than six Pokemon in your party to get Tyrogue will will need to climb the Waterfall in the middle Mt. Mortar entrance to meet the Karate King.

Location: Route 34

Method:
In addition to the Togepi egg from Gold and Silver, players can obtain a second egg in the Crystal version. This egg can hatch into any of the baby Pokemon, allowing players to potentially receive their favourite Pokemon far earlier in the game than normal, with the special move Dizzy Punch as an added bonus. This page details how to get it in both the Japanese and International versions.

Japanese Version
In the Japanese version, players get an Egg Ticket from the Day Care Man which must be redeemed at the Pokemon Communication Center in Goldenrod City. Any of the baby Pokemon have a 50% rate of being shiny.

International Version
With the removal of the PCC in the international releases the method for getting the second egg has been simplified. The Day Care Man will now simply give you the egg – no need for an Egg Ticket. The rate at which the hatched Pokemon can be shiny has been reduced to 14% for these versions, but the Pokemon remain the same.

The user of Fly will fly up high on the first turn, disappearing from view and becoming invulnerable to most attacks. On the second turn, Fly deals damage.

While in the air, the Pokémon can only be hit by the moves Gust, Twister, Thunder, Sky Uppercut and Smack Down, with Gust and Twister dealing twice normal damage. Moves from No Guard Pokémon, or any move following an identify move can also hit for regular power.

If the user is holding a Power Herb, Fly executes in one turn.

Changes

Z-Move effects

When a Pokémon is holding Flyinium Z and uses its Z-Power, Fly turns into Supersonic Skystrike and has base power 175.

Outside of battle

Fly allows you to fly instantly to any PokéCenter you have already visited during the course of the game (or certain other prominent locations). It can only be used with the appropriate Gym Badge.

Thank you stuck on that for a while thank you peeps

Im stuck in goldenrod city because, i think i defeated whitney, but whenever i try to talk
to her she starts crying. I really dont know.

This is how!

First you gotta talk to he girl near the wiggly tree. Second she will try to get the
squirtbottle from her sister, she will go back beack in goldenrod city. Third go to the
flower shop at goldenrod city, you will see the little girl again talk to her. Once you
talked to the girl she will say her sister won`t give her the squirtbottle maybe because
she didn`t have the gym badge(i made you do this because to make sure you will know if you
need to beat the gym). If you already beated whitney, talk to the woman who is watering her
plants. Talk to her and she will give you the squirtbottle. Head back to route 36 and use
the squirtbottle on the wiggly tree. Finally the tree will battle you and the tree is
sudowoodo.

Oh yeah. I saw the question above me,if whitney starts crying leave the gym and go back
once more(she will stop crying).

I am confused.

I keep on talking to the girl but she is not going anywhere. Can someone help me?

Battle of the Badge

How to Get Fly in Pokémon CrystalClair is the gym leader of the Blackthorn Gym, probably the first place after the Pokemon Center that you will want to visit. This is the eighth and final badge for the Johto region, and is the final step to entering the Pokemon League. If you can’t get into this gym because of a guy blocking it, you have forgotten to beat something earlier in the game.

Before you battle Clair, you’ll have to push three boulders into holes to make a path over the molten lava below. Of course, you’ll also be battling trainers.

Clair has dragon-type Pokemon, three Dragonair, and one Kingdra. You’ll get $4000 for beating her. That’s all. You won’t be get the badge yet. You must first surf behind the gym to a cave called the Dragon’s Den, and get an item called the Dragon Fang.

You’ll need to get passed a whirlpool in order to get to the item, so you’ll need a Pokemon with HM 06 – Whirlpool. After getting Dragon Fang, Clair will walk up to you the Rising Badge, and TM 24 – Dragonbreath. Now all Pokemon will obey you, and you’ll be able to use Waterfall outside of battles.

How to Get Fly in Pokémon CrystalIn Crystal, it is different. You won’t be getting the Dragon Fang. Instead, you’ll enter a house, called the Dragon’s Shrine. Inside, you’ll be asked some questions having to do with Pokemon (the Trainer Challenge). These questions are quite easy if you really are a good Pokemon Trainer. If you get them smoothly, Clair will come and give you the badge.

If you go back into the Dragon Shrine and talk to the head sage, he’ll give you a Dratini.

Exit Dragon’s Den, and Professor Elm will call you. He tells you that he has something for you back at New Bark Town.

Two More Things

But before you leave, you can drop off a TM or HM from a Pokemon of yours in a house called the Move Deleter’s House.

Next, you’ll meet Santos on Saturday. He’ll give you Spell Tag, it increases ghost-type attacks. Now it’s time to go home!

As you walk back to New Bark Town, you’ll pass by Route 45 and 46. You’ll meet a couple of trainers, and get some items. But be careful! Once you jump over a hill, you can’t go back. This means you’ll need to go all the way south. Below are the Pokemon that can be found on these two routes.

Locations (Route 45 and 46)
  • Gligar
  • Teddiursa
  • Phanpy
  • Skarmory
  • Geodude
  • Graveler
  • Rattata (Route 46)
  • Spearow (Route 46)
  • Jigglypuff (Route 46)

Home, Sweet Home!

You’re finally back at New Bark Town! Go to Professor Elm’s lab, and he’ll give you a Masterball! After getting this and the Rainbow Wing, Silver Wing, or Clear Bell, you can go and catch one of the legendary Pokemon!

How to Get Fly in Pokémon CrystalIn order to capture Ho-oh, go back to Ecruteak City, and to the Tin Tower. You’ll find Ho-oh on the rooftop, sitting in the sun, waiting for it to be captured. Save the game before you battle it, because there’s only one of them! An Ultra Ball should be able to do the job.

How to Get Fly in Pokémon CrystalIn order to capture Lugia, go to the Whirl Islands, south of Olivine City. You’ll need a Pokemon with Whirlpool, Surf, and Flash in order to get it. Lugia is also lv. 40 and will give you 1257 experience points if you beat it. But don’t, I mean, why would you anyway? This is a legendary, after all.

After capturing one of them, go back to New Bark Town, and get ready for the Pokemon League. Make sure that you have a Pokemon with Surf and Waterfall. Now surf east from New Bark Town.

In its every new iteration, Pokemon has ensured players an evolving gameplay. One such gameplay strategy introduced in the new Pokémon Sun and Moon is the Z-Moves in. To get access to your Z-moves, players need to acquire the Pokemon Sun and Moon Z-Crystals.

Pikachu will be getting its own Z-Move in ‘Sun and Moon’ Pokemon Company

In Pokémon Sun and Moon, Z-Moves are the Mega Evolutions of this generation. These new and powerful attacks can completely turn the tide in battle by having one Pokémon unleash a massive attack.

Trainers will need a Z-Ring and a Z-Crystal to unleash these Z-Moves that come with their own battle animations.

This is a guide to what Z-Moves are and what they can do, with the locations of all of the Z-Crystals in order of when you accept them. There are minor story spoilers for Sun and Moon included, so be aware.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

– Each typing has their own Z-Move and you can equip the correct Z-Crystal to a Pokémon that has an attack that is of the same type. For example, your Pikachu can use the Normal Z-Crystal if it knows Quick Attack.

– Like Mega Evolutions, only one Z-Move can be used once per battle. You’ll need to determine when to use the Z-Move for maximum impact, because it’s the only time you’ll be able to use it.

– Every attack your Pokemon knows affects the power of your Z-Move. A Z-Move Close Combat does more damage than a Z-Move powered Rock Smash.

Here’s a list of every move and how much power it gives a Z-Move.

– Z-Moves also work with status moves. They will give an extra effect on top of the normal effect of your move for example. Stealth Rock with a Z-Move will increase the Defense of the Pokémon using it.

Here’s a list of every change a Z-Move has on a status move.

– Moves like Protect and Detect do not stop Z-Moves, they just reduce the amount of damage taken.

– Moves like Fly and Dig DO make Z-Moves miss.

Pokémon Crystal is back and brimming with new features

Originally released for the Game Boy™ Color system in 2000, the Pokémon™ Crystal game added several new features to the Pokémon franchise. • Get the chance to encounter the Mythical Pokémon Celebi in an event after completing the main adventure.
  • Meet the mysterious character Eusine and find out how he’s linked to the Legendary Pokémon Suicune.

  • With the paid service Pokémon Bank, you’ll be able to bring Pokémon you have caught in this version of Pokémon Crystal into the Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun, and Pokémon Ultra Moon games!

This game is only playable in 2D.

This classic game is part of the Virtual Console service, which brings you great games created for consoles such as NES™, Super NES™ and Game Boy™ Advance. See more Virtual Console games for Nintendo 3DS.

THIS IS NOT THE OPEN WORLD ROMHACK! This is an earlier hack with the same name.

Overview
Pokemon Crystal Clear came from me being frustrated with some parts of the original Pokemon Crystal. The gym rosters were awful (Falkner having a level 9 Pidgeotto, Bugsy having Metapod and Kakuna. ), it was incredibly easy, a lot of the new Pokemon had really boring types, the HMs sucked and forced you to have 3 Water and Normal type moves, etc. So when I learned that Crystal had been disassembled and could be edited to my liking, I got to work, talking with my friends about what to change and really having fun with the whole thing. The project is almost purely gameplay oriented, with some new dialogue and graphics – it doesn’t try to redefine Crystal, just makes it how I wish it had been all those years ago. It was created by myself, with the use of the Pokemon Crystal dissassembly, and, obviously, Game Freak. Please enjoy!

Features

  • 5 new Pokemon have been added:
  • Calfeebl, the Farm Baby Pokemon. Evolves into Tauros or Miltank depending on its gender
  • Fawnov, the Littlehorn Pokemon. Evolves into Stantler when happy enough
  • Plessie, the Kindly Pokemon. Evolves into Lapras when happy enough
  • Samuright, the Honorable Pokemon. Evolves from Farfetch’d when happy enough
  • And a secret fifth! Find it for yourself
  • Pokemon have been changed, some slightly, some drastic. Many poor or uninteresting Pokemon have been given new typing, moves, evolution methods, and stats. Take nothing for granted, and try some new teammates – they might surprise you!
  • Moves have been rebalanced and renamed. For example, Present may deal catastrophic damage and Doubleslap will always hit twice. HMs are also quite a bit more powerful and varied in typing
  • TMs can be used as many times as you like
  • New moves have been added, like Swarm, a strong Bug type move
  • New items have been added, like the Alloy Stone, Fabled Stone, and Roe. Many wild Pokemon hold items now
  • Every trainer’s roster has been buffed and given diversity, especially Gym Leaders, providing a more challenging and interesting experience
  • Every Pokemon can be obtained through various means. Every route has a diverse bounty of Pokemon to find, and new legendary fights are sprawled throughout Kanto and Johto
  • No trading is necessary for evolution – Pokemon who previously evolved through trade now evolve in other ways
  • Types have been rebalanced – Ice is far stronger defensively, resisting Water, Grass, and Dragon as well as itself. Grass now does normal damage against Flying and Dragon types, and Ghost does normal damage against Steel types
  • Ghost is now Special and Dark is now Physical. Considering how most Dark type moves involved biting and hitting, and how Ghosts are intangible, this seemed logical
  • Gender based evolution has been added for Nidoran and Calfeebl
  • Both Kanto and Johto starters can be chosen from at the beginning
  • New menu icons added
  • Lavender Town has its RBY music back, and the creation of the Radio Tower there may have spawned something unfortunate.
  • Rarely, very high level Pokemon can be found in Kanto, to make wild encounters that were otherwise pitiful in that region more interesting
  • Several small glitches, like Kurt’s custom Pokeballs not working properly, have been fixed
  • Your mom actually believes you when you say you know how to use the Pokegear (and other small, sensible dialogue fixes)
  • For the benefit of those playing, here are some hints: – Horsea is now a split evolution, and both it and Graveler require a stone to evolve.

With Pokemon X and Y coming out on October 12 and Pokemon Red and Blue recently having its 15 year anniversary in America, we began to wonder: who are some of the best Pokemon ever created?

After the second generation of Pokemon games (Gold, Silver and Crystal) the formula for future Pokemon titles became predictable and stale. As the saying goes, nothing beats the original, and the first and second generation of Pokemon games that came out for the Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket and Game Boy Color, served as the foundation for the handheld Pokemon games that continue to be created.

So, in honor of those first several Pokemon games, we have chosen the 50 Best Pokemon Up To Pokemon Crystal. We took multiple factors into account in order to make a list that was not too predictable, and featured some Pokemon in positions that you probably weren’t expecting them to be in. From weaknesses and strengths to their base stat total and attacks, we revisited our childhood recess duel memories, and picked the Pokemon we always had or wanted a part of our team.

Side note: Although every Pokemon’s base stat total changes with level growth, their initial base stat total usually indicates just how strong they’ll become betweens levels 50 and 100, and what aspects of their stats is better or worse than other Pokemon’s stats.

And we might as well let you Pikachu fanatics know beforehand: Pikachu is not on here. With that said, here are the 50 Best Pokemon Up To Pokemon Crystal.

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

Mew was sort of a pre-internet myth back in 1996 and 1997 when Pokemon Red and Blue hit (Pokemon Yellow came a few years later, of course). Millions of kids were playing this new game called Pokemon, and suddenly rumors started flying through playgrounds and school hallways that there were actually 151 Pokemon in the game, not the 150 that we’d all been told we had to catch. But, how could that be? And how could you actually get him in your game?

The answers came in various forms, some cheated their way through, using Gamesharks or something like that. Finally a few glitches showed up that could reliably deliver a Mew. The Gameshark is no long an option, so here’s our guide on how to get Mew in Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow for the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console.

So far, it’s been confirmed that these glitches still work, as the games are pretty much straight ports of the old ones. Still, if you have trouble implementing them let us know in the comments. The big bonus though is that these VC releases will be able to transfer Pokemon up to the newer games, so you will have a Level 7 Mew in Pokemon Sun and Moon at launch if you pull this off.

How to Get Mew in Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Red, and Pokemon Blue

For Pokemon Red and Blue there is a glitch that actually allows you to get Mew before even taking on the second gym. Before you start, make sure you have plenty of Pokeballs, as you’ll need them to get Mew. Follow these steps to give it a shot.

Get to Cerulean City, where the second gym is located, clear the Nugget Bridge that takes you to Route 24, battling your rival on the way. Stop fighting at this point, this is very important to the rest of the steps for how to get Mew in Pokemon Yellow, Red, and Blue.

At the top of the bridge, on the left side past some water and standing two rows of grass down in a field you’ll see a single trainer. Don’t fight him, you need him for other purposes. Walk around him, keeping out of his sightline, and keep doing this until you catch an Abra (this is probably the hardest part and will take a while.

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

Once you’ve got him, head left to Route 25. Finish off every single trainer here except for a single, specific one. You’ll see him standing north of two rocks with a female trainer two spaces to the south, with a pillar of five rocks standing to his left (as he is facing north). If you have trouble spotting him, just save your game and battle everyone. Once you find the trainer with a level 17 Slowpoke you have found your guy. Load the game up from the previous save and fight everyone but him. Save your game at this point to prevent any issues.

Use Abra’s teleport ability to head to the Pokecenter to heal up. Now go back to where you caught Abra and stand at the top left corner of the water, next to the bridge.Save your game again. Once you’re ready to try the glitch, press down and start at the same time. The key is to get the trainer’s attention, while pausing the game at the same time.

If this seemed to work, use Abra’s teleport ability once again, then head back to Route 25 and fight the Youngster that you left there. You need to make sure he walks into you and not the other way around or Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue might crash. Once he’s defeated you need to teleport away again.

Once you make it back to Cerulean City head back to the bridge. If all was done correctly, once you walk across the border from the city to Route 24 your menu will open on its own. Press B or Start to close and BAM! Mew will be fighting you. He’s only a level 7, so pretty easy to catch. Just be careful not to knock him out.

Once you have him you are good to go. You can just wait for Pokemon Sun and Moon to hit and then transfer him to the new games via Pokemon Bank.

Today, I’m introducing a series that I’m going to partake in. This series is going to be a playthrough of a ROM hack known as Pokemon Clear Crystal. I found this ROM hack through a Youtuber called Pikasprey, and after picking it up, I have come to the conclusion that the game itself deserves some more exposure, so if I have to be the one to introduce to you, I will be. I’m using this post to not only set up my series, but to bring in some interaction to it as well. So I’ll be introducing the game from here!

What is Pokemon Clear Crystal?

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

As I mentioned earlier, this is a ROM hack of Pokemon Crystal. Within the ROM hack, you are able to collect all 251 Pokemon from Gen 1-2. However, this hack has added a new kind of customization to the game that has never been seen before in a Pokemon game. For example, when you start up the game, you get to choose between.

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

You get to choose what region you start in! This has a bit of an impact on the game, as it not only affects how you play, but it affects who the Champion is and who is on top Mt. Silver. However, that’s just the beginning. After you choose your character’s gender, you get to choose their model as well, as you have a selection of these models:

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

Chris would be the male character from GSC, Kris would be the female from GSC, Red is the male from RBY, and they have added a new model for a female in RBY. After that, however, you get to choose a character color, as shown here:

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

After you get all of that out of the way, you get to choose from. 28 STARTERS! I will list them all right here for you to see!

Representing the Normal Category, we have.

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

Representing the Extras category, we have.

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

How to Get Fly in Pokémon Crystal

Representing the Babies, we have.

And finally, representing the Hard group.

Oof! That’s a lot. Although you can catch all of these in the game, some start with special moves and items you normally couldn’t get unless you bred/played through it. So choose wisely with that.

After picking your starter, you choose the color of your item pack and Pokegear, and after setting the time, you can listen to the creator, ShockSlayer, go into more detail about the game. Once you get past that, you dive right into your hometown!

Long introduction, I know, but once you’re in the game, you’re free to do whatever. You can go wherever you want, catch whatever you want, heck you can decide what generation of music you want to listen to when you encounter Pokemon! When I actually play through the game, I’ll be more detailed about what makes this hack so great, but I hope what I’ve described makes you want to play along with me. If you want to do so, here’s a link for a GBA emulator for iPhone and here’s a link for Pokemon Clear Crystal.

I want the people who have read this post to recommend me my region and starter. I don’t want this walkthrough to be all about me, so I’ll let you guys decide my beginning. I do want to clarify some things about this playthrough though. It is not going to be as detailed as I want it to be. I do have a general knowledge about this game and some of its tricks, but I don’t know everything. So I’m not going to be detailing every single Pokemon on a route or how to find every HM. I plan on telling you how to beat the game and find GOOD Pokemon, just not every Pokemon. There’s no real extensive guide/playthrough to help me out with that sort of thing, so I’ll just be providing you information that I have gathered myself. I hope you enjoy, and there will be more to come.

Surfing Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow The Pokemon Company

Ever since Pokémon Yellow Version the lore of the Surfing Pikachu has always been around and in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon , trainers can finally get one on their own.

To receive your Surfing Pikachu you’ll need to get really good at the Mantine Surf minigame . There are four beaches that have Mantine Surf to correspond with the four islands of Alola, you’ll need to get the top spot on each beach, which may take some time but to get a Surfing Pikachu will be worth it.

Once you’ve become the top Mantine surfer in all four beaches of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon , you’ll want to travel to Ula’ula Island and head over to Heahea City and find the house with the surfboards on the porch.

Enter this house and speak to the gentleman who will congratulate you on your efforts and gift a Pikachu that knows the move Surf.

A few things to note about this Surfing Pikachu. You can soft reset it to get a shiny or the IVs you desire. You also cannot breed this Pikachu to pass down the Surf move.

You can also evolve Surfing Pikachu into a Surfing Raichu or Alolan Raichu.

To get a Surfing Alolan Raichu, simply expose your Surfing Pikachu to a Thunderstone. To get a Surfing Kanto Raichu is a little more involved.

You’ll need to reach the part of the story where you enter Ultra Space. This area will allow for trainers to evolve their Pokémon into their Kantonian forms.

So if you want a regular Exeggutor, Marowak and Raichu, you’ll need to evolve the pre-evolution inside of Ultra Space.

For the sake of the Surfing Raichu, take your Surfing Pikachu into Ultra Space and use the Thunderstone to evolve it. It’s as simple as that.

Having Surf on your Pikachu/Raichu will be great for taking down their one weakness, Ground-type Pokémon and with Alola Raichu’s massive Special Attack stat, Surf will hit extra hard.

You can also try having Pikachu/Raichu hold a Waterium Z-Crystal to make the most out of Surf.

So have you received your Surfing Pikachu yet? What sets do you want it to have? Let us know in the comments section below.

How to Get Back to Pallet Town in Pokemon Let’s Go

Just as you did in the original versions of Pokemon Yellow, Blue, and Red, you begin your adventure as a Pokemon trainer in Pokemon Let’s Go from your house in Pallet Town. However, you will need to head back to the town later in the game. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get back to Pallet Town in Pokemon Let’s Go.

Of course, you can return to Pallet Town pretty much whenever you would like by simply backtracking. If you head through all the towns in the opposite way you came, as if you were doing whichever Gyms you’ve already beaten in reverse order, you’ll eventually get back to Pallet Town.

Also, since there are quite a few shortcuts in Pokemon Let’s Go, you will be able to skip towns by going through buildings and by cutting down trees once you have the ability to do so.

However, there is one sure fire way to get back to Pallet Town in Pokemon Let’s Go, but you do not unlock it until you’re about half-way through the game. That way is to fly by unlocking the ability which is now known as Sky Dash.

Sky Dash isn’t an HM in Pokemon Let’s Go, like Fly was in the original game, instead your Pokemon can simply learn the ability without it taking up a spot in their moves.

To get Sky Dash, you’ll have to make it to Celadon City and clear out the Team Rocket Hideout. Once you beat the trainers there and leave, you’ll be able to talk to the man right outside the Rocket Game Corner. He’ll reward you with the Sky Dash move, allowing you to quickly travel back to any area you’ve visited before.

Then, all you need to do is press X to head to the menu and look at the map. Then, if you look for the Pallet Town option, you will then be able to use Sky Dash to go there. After a short animation and a few seconds, you’ll arrive at the town you started at in Pokemon Let’s Go, just as you did in the original games.

That’s all there is to know about how to get back to Pallet Town in Pokemon Let’s Go. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our Pokemon Let’s Go wiki guide.

The game was designed by Satoshi Tagiri, Ken Sugimori, Junichi Masuda and developed by the legendary developers GameFreak.

Game Description

The game was first released in 2000 and is since known as one of the best Pokemon games ever released.

Game Plot (Pokemon Crystal Download):

Unlike the Craced version Pokemon Liquid Crystal ROM, this one actually has a much better plot. Crystal Pokemon continues the legacy of great RPG storylines as they always did. The player starts as a new Pokemon Trainer and to get the first Pokemon, the player goes to Professor Elm’s Lab. The player gets to select one from three Pokemons: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, or Totodile.

When the player is done selecting the Pokemon and leaves the lab, the player finds himself/herself in a surprise Pokemon battle against a mysterious Trainer. After that battle, all hell breaks loose when the same sab lab where the player first visited gets attacked and gets a Pokemon.

When the details of the robber are given out, it turns out that they match exactly to the trainer in the recent Pokemon battle. Now starts a new adventure to find this mysterious Pokemon trainer and become the hero!

Features of Pokemon Crystal:

Pokemon Crystal ROM was the better version of the original one in most ways. Most notably, the game now had colors and better visuals, thanks to the new Gameboy Color. Later versions of the Pokemon Crystal were released for GameBoy Color and Nintendo 3DS.

Pokémon Back on Top

Pokémon reclaims the top two spots in console game sales, dropping Final Fantasy IX to the fourth spot.

This is a guide to help you catch Legendary Pokémon, including Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Latios, Latias, Ho-oh, Lugia, and others. In general, this guide is meant to help you catch pokémon who have very low catch rates.

Catching Roaming Legendaries

The Legendary Pokémon who roam around Johto and Kanto can be difficult to track down and catch. If you are specifically trying to follow the roaming pokémon, you might find yourself frustrated if the Legendary keeps moving to a different place on the map. How does its movement work? Here is a general idea.

For the best pokéballs to use on these legendaries, check the list of best pokéballs by pokémon.

How the Roaming Legendaries Move

If you are in a route, and you go to a different route, the roaming legendaries will usually move to a route that is next to the one that they were just in. This means that when you are deciding which route to go to next in your hunt for the legendary, try going to one that is adjacent to where the legendary currently is. If you are lucky, the legendary will go to that route, too.

If you are in a city, though, and if you have to pass through a house to exit the city, then usually the legendaries will stay in their current routes when you exit. Therefore, if you are in a city and the legendary is in a route that is connected to the city, just go to that route and the legendary will probably still be there. This is not true, however, if you don’t go through a house to exit from the city to that route; in that case, the legendary will move to an adjacent route.

Keep in mind, though, that the legendaries sometimes just randomly relocate to a random spot on the map. Also, whenever you use Fly, the legendaries will always relocate to a random spot on the map.

What to do when you Encounter a Roaming Legendary

As you might already know, when you encounter a roaming legendary, the roaming legendary will run away as soon as you have made your first move. Some people might recommend that you use a move like Mean Look to prevent it from running away, but I recommend against this. Why? Because if you use Mean Look, then you will have to start dealing with the Legendary’s moves, which not only makes things difficult for you, but it also reduces the Legendary’s PP, and if you don’t have much luck with the pokéballs that you throw, the Legendary might use Struggle and KO itself. Now, in most cases, the Legendaries will reappear after you defeat the Elite Four and Champion, but do you really want to have to do that?

What I recommend instead is to just keep following the legendary around the map while having a pokémon in the lead who knows False Swipe and who has a high Speed stat. As soon as you encounter the legendary, use False Swipe. Once you have reduced the legendary’s HP to as low as it will go with False Swipe, change your lead pokémon to one that knows a sleep move and also has high speed. The next time you encounter the Legendary, use the sleep move to inflict the sleep status on the legendary.

Interestingly, the legendary will still be able to run away from battle and wander around the map even when it has the sleep status. This is a good thing, because it means that now, you can stock up on Quick Balls (which can be purchased from the Butterfree lady at Safari Zone Gate), then follow the legendary around. Quick Balls give a 4x multiplier when they are used on the first turn of battle, which is the best modifier that you can possibly get from a pokéball when trying to catch a legendary, in most cases. (The Heavy Ball gives a better multiplier for Lugia, and maybe for other legendaries as well. See recommended pokéballs for specific pokémon.)

If you follow the Legendary around rather than using Mean Look to force it into battle, you can keep using Quick Balls every time that you encounter it, getting the 4x bonus each time. So, just keep doing this over and over. The Quick Ball still has a fairly low chance of success (about 9%), but it’s the best that you will get for most of the legendaries, so just keep trying until it works, which it eventually will.

This is my preferred strategy because it is no-risk. Unless you choose the wrong move or something, you can’t lose roaming legendaries if you try to catch them this way.

How to Catch a Legendary that does not Roam

Some legendary pokémon, like Suicune, Ho-oh, Lugia, Latios/Latias (whichever one you encounter with the Enigma Stone), and others, do not roam around the map and must therefore be engaged in battle in order to be captured. The strategy is slightly different for catching them.

Before you battle one of these legendaries, go buy a bunch of revives and healing items. The legendaries are tough, and you wouldn’t want your entire party to be put out of commission before you have a chance to catch them.

Next, check to find out if there is a recommended pokéball for the legendary pokémon that you want to catch. For example, using Heavy Balls is best when trying to catch Lugia, but for most of the other legendaries, Fast Balls are the best option.

This is because many of the Legendaries have high base speed, which gives you a 4x multiplier when you use Fast Balls on them. Fast Balls are a little bit hard to come by, because you can only get them by taking Wht Apricorns to Kurt. Wht Apricorns are only found on Route 3, 33, and 38, as well as from the tree next to Kurt’s house. You can also get them from participating in the Pokéathlon.

If you can’t get enough Fast Balls, you can look for Timer Balls, which will give you a 4x multiplier if the battle has gone on for at least 30 turns. However, these are hard to get, because they are only available from the Goldenrod Department Store lottery on Saturdays, or from the Sinnoh Field route on the pokéwalker.

It’s easier to just stock up on Dusk Balls instead (which can be purchased from many Poké Marts and other locations), and then only fight the legendary at night time (after 8PM) or in a cave. By the way, Ho-oh is considered to be in a cave setting, even though it’s at the top of a tower. The Dusk Ball gives you a 3.5x multiplier if used at night or in a cave.

Once you have the necessary supplies, bring a pokémon that knows False Swipe, and start the battle with that. Keep using False Swipe until the legendary’s HP is as low as it will go. Then switch to a pokémon that knows a sleep move, and use that until you have successfully inflicted the sleep status on the legendary. Then, start throwing your chosen pokéball type at it. If you have Timer Balls with you that you might need to use, mentally keep track of how long the battle has gone on. If the legendary wakes up, use the sleep move on it again. Hopefully, one of your pokéballs will succeed in catching the legendary before it can run out of PP and start using Struggle, because if you have used False Swipe, then it will KO itself as soon as it uses Struggle.

As much as I think that Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Galar region is an absolute feast for the eyes, it’s super convenient to fast traveling around the map instead of backtracking trails the long way. One of the best things about Pokémon Sword and Shield is that you can fly to places you’ve already been to from pretty early on. In previous games, you usually only acquired this ability once you’d made it through most of the map. The funny thing is, while the game lets you know that Flying Taxis are available, it doesn’t really teach you how to use this feature. Here’s how to use the Flying Taxi in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

When can I start using the Flying Taxi?

Shortly after you’ve reached the Motostoke Stadium you’ll be able to use the Flying Taxi, which is basically a Corviknight that flies you around the map. Depending on how much time you spend investigating the Wild Area and catching Pokémon, it could take you anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to unlock the Flying Taxi after you’ve started a new game.

How to use a Flying Taxi

While in the game press X on your right Joy-Con.

When the menu pops up, select Town Map.

Source: iMore

Press A to initiate the Flying Taxi.

Source: iMore

  • The game will ask you if this is really where you want to go. Select “Yes”.
  • In the blink of an eye, you’ll be at the city, route, or location you selected and you can continue on with your game.

    Source: iMore

There you have it. Now you know how to fast travel around the Galar region map using the Corviknight Flying Taxi. It’s kind of funny that the game doesn’t walk you through this process, given how tutorial-focused it is at first. At any rate, it’s nice that you can fly around the map so easily from the get-go. Enjoy your travels in the Galar region and good luck catching all those new Pokémon!

    Additional Equipment

I love these accessories and have found that they greatly improve my Switch gaming sessions. See if anything catches your eye.

    Pro Controller ($62 at Amazon)

Whether you’ve got the larger Nintendo Switch or the Switch Lite, you can benefit from using a Pro Controller. It features motion controls, amiibo functionality, and a better ergonomic design to enhance your gaming experience. It’s also wireless, so you won’t have to worry about tripping over cables.

Hori Compact Playstand ($13 at Amazon)

Whether you’re using a Switch Lite or the larger Switch having a stand can be incredibly helpful. I typically use mine on the go when I either need to charge my Switch or when I simply want to bring the screen closer to my face.

Gimme some space! ($26 at Amazon)

Regardless of the version of Switch you’re using, you can always benefit from having more memory on the system. This microSD card has a cute Mario mushroom on it and gives you 128GB. That’s plenty of space for screenshots, game data, and downloads.

How to Get a Shiny Pikachu (Surfing) in Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

The elusive, shiny Pokemon have long been a staple to the game series, and there is, of course, a special one you can get in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon: Surfing Pikachu. It can be quite a pain to get a shiny Pikachu of this variant, but you’ll be part of an elite few that have it. If you’re lucky.

In order to get a shiny Pikachu, you will first and foremost need to play the Mantine Surf mini-game. Here’s our in-depth guide on how to play it, by the way. It’s simply a game that plays after you select to surf from one island to the next. Keep going like this in order and you will unlock new moves that will help you reach a higher score. Beat the high score on all of the different Mantine Surf mini-games that you can possibly do, and you can collect that Surfing Pikachu!

Go to Heahea City and head to the surf shop, where the person there will give you a Surfing Pikachu. Now, the trick to getting the surfing shiny Pikachu (as well as with all other Pokemon) simply comes down to saving right before you talk to the owner and he gives you a Pikachu, and resetting your game if it’s not shiny. That’s it. You’re going to walk in, save your game, talk to him, get the Pikachu, check if it’s shiny, if it’s not it’s time to reset. You’re going to do this as many times as it takes until you finally get the shiny version.

Told you it was a lucky pain! Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any other surefire way of getting a Shiny Pikachu in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. For more on the new Alolan adventures, be sure to search for Twinfinite.

    Overview:

You are an 11-year old boy living in Pallet Town with your mother. Your
rival lives next door to you. You and your rival used to play nicely
together when you were little, but lately, he has become mean. He sees
you as his rival because you are the same age and height. You also get
similar grades in school. When you hear that Professor Oak is learning
about Pokmon, you get excited because you are a curious boy. You walk
outside of Pallet Town in search of Pokmon and you hear a voice.

"Hey! Don't go into the grass!" It was Professor Oak. "There are wild Pokmon
living in the grass," he said. "They can be very dangerous. If you have trained Pokmon, you can let them fight against wild ones."

Professor Oak took you back to his lab where your rival was waiting. Professor Oak invited him because he is Professor Oak's grandson. Professor Oak spoke, "There are three Pokmon here, so take the one you like! Now that you have a Pokmon, the rest is up to you. "

–from the Game Boy Pokmon game manual

1998, the US would never be the same. The original Pokmon games(Red and Blue) hit America by storm. You couldn’t go anywhere without seeing the Pokmon. Now it’s on Console Classix and it’s just as good as ever.

    Directions:

It’s time to be a Pokmon Master. The Pokmon series follows the basic RPG palette, only instead of training the heroes you catch monsters and train them to fight others’ monsters.
Pokmon battles are one-on-one fights, where you and your opponent select one out of four moves you’ve taught your Pokmon and have them attack each other. Each Pokmon and move have a type alignment. These 15 types play a rock paper scissors game on your damage, some attacks being enhanced (Like Electric on Water) or being completely nullified (Ground against Flying). You’ll have to build a versatile team of 6 Pokmon that can handle a constantly changing battle climate. Lucky for you, most of your enemies base their entire teams around a single type.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon Guide – How to Catch Cosmog and Cosmoem

Cosmog is a new Psychic-Type of Pokemon. It is a small floating-type celestial Pokemon with a dark blueish appearance with astronomic marking on it.

Its body is composed of a cloud of ionized gases that stretch into two arm-like projections to the side of its body. A crescent run down the middle of its body splitting it equally on both sides, coming out from the back and not crossing its face on the front.

The sparkle in its wings symbolizes the formation of stars inside of a Nebula. It is also known to be very juvenile and overly trusting. It follows all, regardless of their malicious intentions and cannot tell between good and bad people.

This puts it in a lot in harm’s way.

    Cosmog Evolution

    Cosmeom

Cosmeom is also a Psychic-type legendary Pokemon, the evolved form of Cosmog. It is an orb-shaped celestial Pokemon with a small body covered by gold-colored projection.

Its body resembles a space filled with stars and galaxies, which are run down by four crescent-shaped projections that similar to Cosmog, come from the back of its body and do not run down its face.

In the middle of the void on its body, there exists a smaller much denser region that imitates a black hole. That region also has two small eyes and a mouth and is the face of Cosmeom.

Cosmeom is captured by capturing the Cosmog and then evolving into one. The method for capturing both Cosmog and Cosmeom is the same so read on to find out where and how you can get these Pokemon into your Pokedex.

    Lunala

Lunala is the third-evolution of Cosmog along with Solgaleo. It is a huge celestial Pokemon with a bat-shaped body and an enormous span of large wings spread to both sides.

Its wings originate from its five-finger, three of which are long and used to support the wings while the other are bent over facing its head. These are used as claws.

Its wing are bordered by the same golden crescent that was on Cosmog and Cosmeom. Moreover, the same crescent runs at the back of its head, coming from beneath its neck, acting as a rigid protection to its soft head.

Its spread-out wings are used to absorb light with its use to power itself.

    Solgaleo

Solgaleo is also one of the final evolution stages of Cosmog, the other being Lunala. This transformation is achieved at level 53 and only in the Ultra Sun or Sun game-mode.

Solgaleo is a Steel/Psychic type legendary Pokemon that resembles a lion.

The blueish projection on its forehead represents the constantly changing star space and the four crescent-shaped golden ridges previously on Cosmeom, can also be seen on Solgaleo, that make up a crown-like object.

Its mane is made of rigid-shards that run to the back of its body, overall creating the impression of a sun.

    How to Catch Cosmog

First of all, you need to make sure you have completed the game’s storyline and become the champion. You need also to be on the search for the Beast Pokemon.

Then if you are playing the Ultra Sun version, you need to go back to the Altar of the Sun and enter the portal and you will find yourself in the Ultra Moon dimension. However, the portal will open only if the game is in the nighttime mode.

Also, you need to have either Lunala or Solgaleo in your Pokedex.

Note: Now also keep this in mind that, this is as such if you are playing the Ultra Sun version. The process is vice versa for the Ultra Moon.

Once there, you need to proceed to the Ula’ula Island in the Alola Region, where you will find the Lake of the Moone, precisely located at Route 16. Move on over to the Lake of the Moon and get inside the castle.

Keep on moving until you get to the top near the Altar. There inside the thick, dense fog, Lunala will appear.

Along with Lunala, Solgaleo will appear as well and they will leave behind Cosmog for you to take. At this point, you will be asked if you want to take Cosmog with you. Answer ‘Yes’ to acquire both Cosmog and Solganium-Z.

Cosmog will evolve to Cosmeom at level 43. You can further evolve it to get either Solgaleo or Lunala.
