What is TinyTAN on Instagram?
Tiny Tan are the chibi versions of BTS.
Chibi is a style of art that frames cute child-like characters with large heads and eyes with small bodies.
The BTS range presents the boy-band members as adorable characters.
Animations of the BTS Tiny Tan range also accommodate the group’s music and can be found on the BANGTANTV YouTube channel.

In November 2020, New Messaging Features Now Available on Instagram and Messenger were announced.
One feature, in particular, involved chat themes in order to personalize user’s conversations.
As well as various other themes, TinyTAN also collaborated with the software.
This introduced a special chat experience on Messenger and Instagram with TinyTAN, a group of lovable characters created from the seven members of BTS.

How to access this BTS theme
In order to access the TinyTAN Instagram theme, you’ll need to ensure you have the latest version of the Instagram app downloaded.
Once you update the software to the new experience, you’ll be able to activate the TinyTAN chat theme on Instagram and Messenger.
The previous Instagram announcement stated that you can express your affection with 💜 emojis, share your favourite songs from the new album, or customize your message reactions for your perfect TinyTAN-themed chat.
You can activate the TinyTAN chat theme on Instagram and Messenger in your chat settings by tapping Theme and selecting TinyTAN.
@nanasosexy0 shared a screen-recorded video of their new TinyTAN chat theme with BTS’s official Instagram account.
Why won’t it work?

Well, do not worry, you are not alone.
It seems as though many people are unable to access this cool, new feature.
In May 2021, @ethereal.cate took to TikTok with a screen-recorded tutorial on how to change the theme of your Instagram chat.
However, the user captioned the video by stating that they are unaware whether or not this feature is available in all countries.
The comment section is filled with users expressing their sadness since they are unable to use this feature.
At the moment, it seems as though the chat theme feature is unavailable in many countries including the UK, France, Germany and more.
