Jemaine Clement has been married to Miranda Manasiadis for almost a decade. The couple’s beautiful journey began in college. They first met at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, where Clement studied film and theatre. Their romance blossomed after their first meeting, and the couple continued their long-term relationship. They finally got married after years of dating, taking their romance to the next level.
Clement got married in 2008
In 2008, Clement married his longtime college girlfriend at the registry office in Los Angeles. According to Stuff, the famous actor took a break from writing Flight of the Conchords 2 to marry his girlfriend. The ceremony was quite informal, with only a handful of friends in attendance. Bret McKenzie, the only member of Clement’s band, was there. Clement and his wife are co-stars as well as lovers. In 2007, the pair collaborated on the Kiwi stand-up comedy Eagle vs. Sharks.
Of course, Clement’s wife comes from the entertainment industry. She has appeared in many films, including Girl vs. Boy, Realiti and Nude Tuesday. Having said that, Manasiadis is more recognized for her stage work than for her television efforts. She collaborates with independent and experimental theater groups and has appeared in lead roles in numerous productions at the Circa and Bats theatres.
She’s even been a founding member of some of Wellington’s most prestigious theater organizations, including Afterburner Production, Jealous Theater Company and Open Book Theater Company. During her long career, Manasiadis has worked as a screenwriter, concept designer and designer in Wellington, New York and Athens.

Clement and Manasiadis have been together for 13 years. A child was born to the couple. In October 2008, they welcomed their only son, Sophocles Iraia Manasiadis Clement, commonly known as Sopho, to New York. According to Stuff magazine, their children are named after family members. Manasiadis’ Greek grandfather was named Sophocles, and Clement’s grandparents’ name was Iraia.
Sopho was established in the second season of Clement’s successful comedy series Flight of the Conchords. In a February 2021 interview with Stuff, the 47-year-old said he loves being a parent. He said having a baby was the best decision he ever made. “I adore it,” he commented at the end of the thread. Clement, their wife and son, now 13 years old, live in Los Angeles, ignoring their household chores. They rarely appear together in public or discuss family matters on social media.
