A new video of rapper Polo G being arrested in Miami in 2021 has been found online. It was taken by a body cam.
The extra video shows the Chicago native’s meeting with the police, which reportedly didn’t go too well. The ‘Hall of Fame’ hitmaker is put in handcuffs and shoved into a police car in the new video that TMZ got its hands on. In the clip, the rapper is sitting in the back of a police car and says that he is having trouble breathing.
In the video, the 23-year-old rapper can be seen asking for an ambulance to check on him. Polo G seems upset as he tells the medics that the police didn’t listen to him when he said he couldn’t breathe in the cruiser and was going to die. It was said that Polo G was arrested for having window tints. After the officer tried to handcuff him several times, he fought back. Paper Lovee, a hip-hop artist, was arrested by Atlanta Police for allegedly being involved in a shooting at a convenience store. This is related to the fact that rappers have been arrested before. Before, the arrests of other rappers like SpotemGottem, Bandman Kevo, DDG, and 9lokkNine also made headlines.
During his arrest in Miami in 2021, did Polo G get into a fight?
TMZ says that in the new body cam video, Polo G tells the medics, “I’m going to die back here, they’re trying to kill me.” The hip-hop artist then asks, “Have you ever heard of George Floyd?” He adds, “They are trying to kill me back here.” Look, they are trying to kill me back here. Please take a look at me.” Polo G was later checked out at the hospital.
A body cam clip of the rapper yelling at the people who arrested and booked him was released a few weeks before the new video. In the first video, Polo G was fighting with the police and trying to get away from them. “I have every reason to be angry. “I blacked out when you first caught me and threw me to the ground,” the rapper says in the video. Earlier in the same video clip, police question Polo G. “Did you buy your mama anything? Did you buy your mama a car? Did you buy a house for your mother?” Polo tells them, “I already did that. I did them both. You will never ever be able to do that. As XXL magazine said, “You never will.”
Why did police stop Polo G?
In June 2021, Polo G was arrested on several charges, including assaulting a police officer, violently resisting arrest, and criminal mischief. The five charges against Polo G were worth a total of $19,500, according to the jail records. Around 12:30 a.m., the rapper’s car was stopped near Biscayne Boulevard and Southeast First Street for an unnamed “traffic infraction.”
Later, the rapper was bailed out by his mother, Stacia Mac, who is also his manager. Later, Polo G’s mother told the police that her son wasn’t driving. Instead, he was a passenger in a professional vehicle with security and a license.
