He subsequently completed his specialty fellowship training in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. After completing his training, Dr. Nguyen once again returned to Los Angeles to open his practices in Chinatown (Los Angeles) and Temple City.

“I believe that gastroenterology, as well as medicine in general, should be practiced with compassion and understanding of each patient’s individual preferences, values, and cultural beliefs. Not every treatment option is right for every patient. Therefore, as physicians, we need to take time to listen to our patients to understand their goals and values. Only then we can be better physicians in providing the most personalized care for our patients.”
