According to the Middlesex County Prosecutor, a man is being charged of killing a woman who lived in the Fords section of Woodbridge and with whom he had been involved in a romantic relationship.

She is a Fords inhabitant named April Duncza, who is 39 years old.

A call was placed to the Woodbridge Police Department at around 4:49 p.m. on Wednesday, requesting that a welfare check be performed at a property located on Paul Street in the Fords neighborhood of Woodbridge.

As soon as they arrived, they discovered the woman suffering from severe head injuries. At the scene, it was determined that she had passed away.

The accused, Kevin Bacon, 46, from Keansburg, is said to have known the victim and had a past relationship with her, according to the police reporting.

A single count of first-degree murder was brought against Bacon, who was taken into custody without any violent incident on Thursday. His present location is the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center, where he is being kept there.
