Kevin Wynn was like a father figure to so many of us; what a loss for the planet. You had one of the most well-rounded, smart, and perceptive minds I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and you had such a large heart. For all the years of superhuman dancing, lightning-fast movements, and toad hall pleasant hours, I sincerely thank you. I’m so grateful to have had you in both my life and yours.

Dancer, instructor, and choreographer Kevin Wynn had a vast and varied career in the arts. In Washington, D.C., he obtained his early training at esteemed schools including the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and Workshops for Careers in the Arts. Wynn continued his study by attending Cal Arts and Purchase College’s Conservatory of Dance.

Collaborations with renowned dance companies and choreographers, including the José Limón Dance Company, Dianne McIntyre’s Sounds in Motion Dance Company, Mel Wong, Daniel Nagrin, Jacques d’Amboise, Kazuko Hirabayashi, and Warren Spears, among others, served as defining moments in his dance career.
