A local resale shop is kicking off the holiday season.   The “American Cancer Society Discovery Shop” in Bettendorf started its annual “Fur and Glitz reveal” Thursday morning.    The shop revealed their collection of coats, special occasion wear, jewelry and more. All the proceeds go to cancer research, education and patient services.   “We’re all trying to do it, we’re trying to beat this beast we call cancer. Unfortunately, we’re all affected and this is just a really neat way that we can all make a difference.”   The shop is  open Monday through Saturday and they accept donations all year-round.
