Love Island USA: Genny Wants To ‘Move On’ From Talking About The Show

Genevieve Shawcross claims that she is ready to “move on” from Love Island USA season 3 due to the fact that appearing on the show “really hurt [her] mentally.” The islanders were introduced to Genny as a Casa Amor newbie. Unlike most of her Casa co-stars, however, Genny managed to stick around after Jeremy Hershberg chose to re-couple with her in the main villa. Alas, this forced Genevieve to confront her best friend’s sister, Shannon St Claire, after she heard a few things from Josh Goldstein.

According to Josh, Genny had been exposing Shannon’s dating history during the Casa Amor twist. Josh claimed that Genny told him “raunchy” details pertaining to a past relationship that Shannon was involved in. Genny has categorically denied those claims and alleged that, in fact, it was Shannon who was spilling the tea on Genny’s dating history to other islanders. Nonetheless, Genny was dumped from the villa shortly after joining the main cast.

Now, Genevieve is responding to a fan who asked why she hasn’t been talking about the show anymore (screenshot below). “Some people have been asking why I’m not posting Love Island stuff anymore,” she explained, “I just don’t really have anything to post or say! But I also want to move on because it really hurt me mentally.” Once again, Genny is expressing her Love Island USA regrets and asking fans to allow her to move on from this experience. Overall, she does seem to embrace and appreciate her Love Island fans, but she just doesn’t want to reminisce on her time on the show anymore. Genny also appears to appreciate some of the connections she made inside the villa even if she feels like certain co-stars mistreated her on the show.

In the past, Genny has criticized producers for the way she was edited to look on Love Island USA season 3, claiming that they edited her to appear interested in Josh when she never was. She also tried to fix her friendship with Shannon after both of them were outside the villa, but that didn’t work out in her favor. Meanwhile, Shannon has accused Genny of being insensitive toward the death of Josh’s sister Lindsey Beth Goldstein. Genevieve denied those claims, saying she has no idea where they are coming from.

It’s been a rocky journey for Genny during and after her time on Love Island USA season 3. She appears to have lost her original friend, Shannon’s sister, as well as her potential connections with co-stars like Shannon and Josh. She also didn’t last very long on the show after being dropped by Jeremy very quickly in the villa. Overall, fans hope that Genny can move on from this sooner rather than later.
