Mariah the Scientist has once again sparked dating rumours with Young Thug after sharing the musician’s latest surprise for her via a Twitter post.
The rapper, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, is currently incarcerated in Georgia’s Cobb County jail. He and rapper Gunna were arrested on RICO charges in Atlanta in early 2022.
Young Thug and Mariah the Scientist have been sparking dating rumours for a while now. The rapper was even featured in Mariah’s 2021 song Walked In and its 2022 music video.
Mariah the Scientist gushes over Young Thug’s surprise
Mariah The Scientist, aka Mariah Amani Buckles, recently took to Twitter and once again fuelled all the rumours that she’s dating Young Thug.
The Always n Forever singer posted pictures of Young Thug’s surprise for her on Twitter on Monday, August 1st.
The 24-year-old singer showed off a hotel room decorated with heart-shaped balloons, rose petals and an inflatable banner that had her new nickname, ‘Mrs Sold Out Dates.’
‘Couldn’t ask for better,’ Mariah captioned the picture.
HipHopDX reported that a follower questioned how Young Thug could have planned the surprise given that he is currently in jail.
Young Thug’s rumoured girlfriend reportedly responded to the tweet by sharing another picture that sees a bed decorated with balloons and rose petals that say “See U Soon. Love, Jeffery,” which is Young Thug’s real name.
Dating rumours explored
Mariah The Scientist and Young Thug have been rumoured to be dating for a while now.
In 2021, the rapper was seen canoodling with the Aura singer.
The two also attended the Atlanta Falcons vs New England Patriots game together in the same year, adding more fuel to the rumours.
Young Thug then starred in Mariah’s hit song Walked In, whose music video came out in 2022.
How long will Young Thug be in jail?
Young Thug will have to remain behind the bars at least until his trial on January 9th, 2023.
On June 2nd, Young Thug’s request for bond was denied.
Judge Ural D. Glanville said that he understands that the star is presumed innocent in the RICO case, but he feared witness intimidation and denied the motion for bond.
