Mary Carolyn Watson, who was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and lived in Bamberg, South Carolina, passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 92. Her grieving family and friends must now say their final goodbyes to their beloved Mary Carolyn Watson. It was her parents, John May Tatum and Elizabeth Kirkland Tatum (Bess), as well as her husband, Dr. Michael Cunningham Watson (Mike), her children, Mike Jr., Caroline, Cal, John, Aurelia, and Mary Elizabeth, as well as her siblings, Elizabeth Kirkland Tatum Bell (Betty) and John May Tatum, Jr., who passed away before her.
Her grandkids, Wayne Cooper, Catherine Tatum Watson Bradley (Patrick), Joseph Calhoun, Elizabeth Kirkland, John Samuel, Sydney Grace Nelson, Conrad Tatum Watson, and Vincent, as well as her great-grandchild, Leigh Sage, are among those who are able to carry on her legacy. Her nieces, nephews, and relatives are also among those who will miss her.
Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 11761 Heritage Hwy, Bamberg, South Carolina 29003, will be the location of a celebration of life that will take place on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
