Stella Grace Bright Obituary – Car Accident: 16-year-old dead, and two others injured in early Saturday crash near Mansfield Loop in Iredell County.
In the early morning hours of Saturday, September 9th, the NC State Highway Patrol swiftly arrived at the scene of a tragic incident in Iredell County. The incident, which occurred on Brawley School Road near Mansfield Loop, prompted an immediate investigation by the authorities.
According to authorities, a 2014 Porsche 911 travelling in a southern direction along Brawley School Road when it veered off the right side of the road. Subsequently, it collided with a tree before ultimately crashing into a rock landscaping wall.
The driver of the vehicle, 16-year-old Stella Grace Bright from Mooresville tragically lost her life at the scene of the accident. Two young passengers in the vehicle were taken to nearby hospitals due to injuries sustained.
Bright and front passenger were found to be properly restrained by their seatbelts. In a concerning turn of events, it has been reported that one of the juveniles involved was found seated in the back area of the vehicle, a section clearly not intended for passengers. What’s more alarming is the fact that this individual was unrestrained, raising serious safety concerns.
Brawley School Road was closed in the area for a duration of three hours during the on-scene investigation.
According to the preliminary investigation, it has been determined that the collision was caused by excessive speed.
