What caused Jimmy McClain’s death?
Jimmy Fitzgerald McClain, an Arkansas native living in Cordova, Tennessee, was 49 years old when his life was flipped upside down. He’d made a solid life for himself as a brother, athlete, minister, teacher, and coach until everything went wrong. As a result of his MBA in Management degree, he had also played professional basketball for 7 12 years before to moving to a wonderful gated community in Cordova, Tennessee in 1997 to start a family. When he graduated from college, he went on to work as a Youth Pastor at Ridgeway High School in Memphis, where he also served as a Business Teacher and Basketball Coach, before passing away over 16 years later.
Jimmy’s coworkers became concerned when he failed to show up for work for the second day in a row without providing any prior notice on February 22, 2013. They phoned the police as a result. Authorities were called to check on him after receiving confirmation that his car was in the garage and that his doors were closed. When they looked in through the windows, they discovered shot shells strewn about the room. As a result, when they entered his residence, they discovered him dead in a pool of dried blood on the ground. With a.40 calibre gun, Jimmy had been shot many times in the back of the head and chest just two days before this incident occurred.
Who was responsible for Jimmy McClain’s death?
Because there were no traces of a forced entry and all of Jimmy’s items were in their proper places, the investigators surmised that his assailant had to be someone who was familiar with Jimmy’s personality. Aside from the fact that it is horrible to insinuate that someone has committed a personal act, there is also the fact that there was a folded up towel by the front entrance, which was near the muddy tracks made by size 10 or 11 sports shoes. As a result, the police interrogated his entire family, including his siblings, estranged wife, stepchildren, and girlfriend, all of whom had nothing but positive things to say about the late athlete and his achievements.
Jimmy’s girlfriend was quickly exonerated, but his estranged wife was subjected to a more thorough investigation after she admitted that she stood to win ownership of the house as well as a $400,000 payout from his life insurance policy. Although she and her ex-husband were in the midst of their divorce processes, the latter maintained that they were still on good terms and even agreed to allow her devices to be checked. As a result of this investigation, the police discovered multiple deleted text messages on her phone, which she shared with her 19-year-old son Dwayne Moore, which pointed to the adolescent as a likely offender.
It was then revealed that Dwayne and Jimmy didn’t always see eye to eye, and that their relationship had been fairly problematic ever since the coach decided to separate ways with his mother in the first place. So the authorities zoomed in on him and were successful in recovering not only a photograph of him with an AR-15 assault rifle (which he’d been accused of stealing), but also the murder weapon (which he’d sold to a friend) from his possession. Furthermore, Dwayne’s ex-girlfriend not only stated that his shoe size is 10.5 but also that he was not in the best of spirits on the night of the murder — February 20, 2013 — which resulted in his arrest on March 25, 2013.
Dwayne Moore: Whereabouts
Dwayne Moore was found guilty of slaying his stepfather in 2014, after the prosecution claimed that he ambushed him inside his home and stole his key in exchange for the insurance money that his family was due to receive. According to them, he wanted both the money and to be rid of Jimmy; an allegation that the jury ultimately agreed with since on June 17, 2014, they convicted him guilty of second-degree murder.
Due to these circumstances, Dwayne received a sentence of 22 years in prison without the chance of release, which he attempted to overturn but was denied. It is believed that Dwayne Moore died while serving time in a state facility after the first week of April 2020, according to records from the Tennessee Department of Corrections. The cause of his death, as well as any other relevant information, has not yet been made public.
