T.I. made his thoughts very clear after his son claimed that he had experienced a tough upbringing despite his father’s success in the music industry. In response, viewers on social media have not held back in condemning the teenager for his supposedly egregious claims.
T.I. and son King Harris separated during heated debate
Celebrated rapper and media personality T.I. was in attendance at the Atlanta Falcons vs New Orleans Saints game on November 26 in a party that included his son King, a budding rapper who goes by the alias Kid Saiyan. TI performed live for the Atlanta crowd, leading the players onto the field – though it was an Instagram Live video streamed by King that would go viral later on in the day.
King, while addressing a crowd of viewers, made a number of claims about his childhood – including that he had never eaten with a “silver spoon”, and that he had chosen to spend a substantial amount of time living with his grandmother, as he wanted to get away from “the gates” of the community T.I. and his mother Tiny Harris raised him in.
King’s claims were quickly met with derision from both his parents, including his mother Tiny who retrieved the phone from her son and explained to the online audience that her son had actually “cried like a baby” and consistently asked to visit his grandmother’s house as she allowed him to “suck on a pacifier until he was 12 years old.”
Tensions soon escalated as King vehemently denied his parent’s claims, leading to what appeared to be a clashing of bodies between him and T.I. – who repeatedly labeled his son “embarrassing” before the livestream was abruptly brought to an end.

Having already been subject to much discussion online, the people of the internet have largely come together to criticize King for his comments.
Given that T.I. has a reported net worth of around $10 million, many people have appeared to have taken umbrage with King’s claims that he didn’t live a life of luxury while growing up.
Discussing the video, one Twitter user wrote: “I don’t get how rich / privilege kids think growing up in the hood is actually a cool thing ! it’s NOT ! Count your blessings, kid and stay humble.”
Another user added: “King Harris is for sure embarrassing himself and his family. Arguing with your family in public is wild.”
While the young rapper has yet to publically respond to the scenes on his Instagram Live, he has since uploaded a rather ambiguous Story post which may well have been in response to the incident, writing: “Through it all ima stand tall”.
