Stacey Dash Had A Lot Of Upside Down While Growing Up

Stacey Dash, an American actress, grew up in a poor family in the South Bronx borough of New York. Her young parents Linda Dash and Dennis Dash were both heroin users. Dash never had a good home environment due to his parents’ addiction. So much so that at the age of four, she was forced to live with another family. Unfortunately, a young man in the family assaulted her and his parents persecuted her.

Dash was unable to discuss her story with her parents and continued on her own. The former TV personality later discovered her parents’ drug problem when she was 12 years old. She discovers her father’s kit and dumps it in the woods behind her grandparents’ house. When her father found out, he was furious and hit Dash, forcing her to return the device. Despite the difficult circumstances, Dash worked hard and eventually forgave her parents.

Dash is clearly not getting the love and support she desires from her parents, whom she inherited Mexican and Afro-Bajan blood. In a July 2018 interview with Fallen State, the Bronx-born girl confessed that she has no relationship with her parents. Her mother was exposed to drugs when she was sixteen years old. As a result, Dash struggled with addiction and existential problems. She even confessed to having suicidal thoughts.

Things only got worse when Dash got into an abusive relationship. Her ex-boyfriend allegedly beat her, hitting her chest, legs and any other open part of her body. When she escaped her abuser and became pregnant with the child of musician Christopher Williams, she was still in the same bad condition. She is on her way to having an abortion. On the other hand, parenting duties changed her life. On October 29, 1991, Dash gave birth to her first child, Austin Williams.

Dash spoke to her father for the first and last time in years just a day before her son was born. She said in the aforementioned interview that he overdosed and was transported to the hospital. The father and son had a brief but emotional conversation just before taking their last breath. Dash is both angry and saddened by the premature death of her father. She said she was angry that he chose drugs over her, but she claimed to realize he had a medical condition. She also claims to have forgiven him.

The talented artist then spoke about his mother, recalling the mother-daughter relationship shortly before her death in November 2017. Dash expressed gratitude for being able to forgive her. her mother at the right time and established a good relationship with her, albeit only for a short time. The mother-of-two even said childhood challenges taught her about ethics, morality, commitment and hard work.
