Book lovers who want to increase their winter-weather reading stockpile have a budget-friendly option Friday and Saturday with the Rock Island Public Library’s two-day book sale, a news release says. The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, and Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Downtown Library, 401 19th St.
Run for the library by the Library PALS (People Advocating for Library Services) of the Rock Island Public Library Foundation, the sale offers “pay what you want” pricing on anything not specially marked. The 2024 sales will be offered each quarter of 2024, on the fourth Fridays and Saturdays of January, April, July, and October.
Specially priced items in the January sale include illustrated novels from Marvel, DC Comics, Image Comics, a Manga/Shonen Jump stand alone title, and homeschooling books/textbooks. Specific pricing and title details will be available at the sale.
