The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2: Filming Locations: Where is the Prime Video Show Filmed?

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 has just ended, and fans are curious about the filming locations. We obviously saw a variety of shots taken on the show, such as at Cousins Beach and then the house as well as the Clubhouse, which is obviously a fictional place.

Thus, we would definitely want to look at what are the actual places or the town or beach that were used to film these. Obviously, as soon as Belly and Jeremiah entered Cousins this season, they stopped for some food, and by the looks of it, the entire place was too beautiful to ignore.

Also, the fact that Conrad is studying at Brown and Jeremiah at Finch those locations were also featured. By the end of the season, we saw Belly and Jere, and Conrad halt at a motel on the highway because an alert was issued for its closing.

This season brought a lot of highs and lows, but the fact that Belly chose wisely through it all was all that mattered. Don’t get me wrong, I love Conrad, and he’s all sweet and fun, but it is also to be noted that he broke Belly’s heart, and no, it is not an excuse to be a mean person just because you are struggling with something.

I mean, Jere was also there, present, and struggling with his mom’s cancer and the whole journey, but he did not issue a pass for that excuse to be mean to people.

I used to love Conrad, but this season was a bit too much and showed him in a light of toxic behavior that is just undigestable. Well, moving on from those subjects, let us come back to the topic of filming locations and where the beautiful scenes that we saw in the series were actually shot.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Filming Locations

1. Wilmington in North Carolina

This is where the entire backdrop of the series is set at. The beaches, the streets, and the city and shops were used from around here in order to create a perfect vacation spot, that is, Cousins. Here are some of the places that were used by the state.

i. Carolina Beach

The scene where we see Belly and Conrad just lying in the sand is filmed here. In fact, the other scenes where see Jere comfort Belly after she had a fight with her mom after the party kids threw to celebrate Susannah, as well as the scene at season 1 cliffhanger where Belly and Conrad kiss, took place on this beach.

ii. Kure Beach

Other beach scenes which were not secluded and included the rest of the gang were shot here. There were some scenes from around the place which were used to portray a town-like setting.

iii. Writs Ville Beach

This beach was also used to show scenes in the series, such as the one where the trio in the lead goes off to surf.

iv. Camille’s of Wilmington

This is the spot that was used during the show when Belly goes shopping for dresses. It is a beautiful shop for all the people who would love to vacation out here in the summer.

2. University of North Carolina

We all saw how there were many scenes where Conrad has to go to Brown, or either Belly or Jeremiah, or both are with him. In the scene where he went missing, and they were trying to find out where he was, the kids went to Brown University.

Although, these scenes were not actually taken at Brown but rather shot at the University of North Carolina. The parking lot of the university also served as the scene where we saw Jeremiah and Belly share their kiss of the season, and Conrad catches them.

3. Southport, North Carolina

This location was specifically used to film the sign scene where we saw the “Entering Cousins Beach” sign. This is an underrated shot, but it truly makes the fictional place feel real on the show and was equally as important.
