Davenport police got physical arresting a man they say stole a car this afternoon.
Local 4 News was there as it happened near the Shell gas station on West River Drive.
Police chased and tackled 31-year-old Michael McGahey Smith. A K-9 officer came in and grabbed his arm once he was on the ground.
Smith is being held in the Scott County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
