Previous comments made by Tucker Carlson on the Full Send podcast are revisited amid the right-wing pundit’s departure from Fox News.

On Monday, April 24, FOX News confirmed that they were parting ways with Tucker Carlson, one of the network’s most popular show hosts.

FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” the company said in a statement published Monday. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

As of yet, no exact reason for their parting of ways has been confirmed. However, previous comments Carlson made about the media industry have been dug up by those with a conspiratorial eye on the unfurling drama.

Speaking to the NELK Boys about everything from aliens to a potential Third World War, it was Tucker Carlson’s comments about the current media landscape that struck a cord with podcast listeners.

“I’ve spent my whole life in the media. My dad was in the media,” Carlson explains. “Like that is a big part of the revelation that’s changed my life is the media are part of the control apparatus.”

He continues to touch on the brewing scepticism of media industries that are often conflated with conspiracy theories. Carlson then admits: “I spent most of my life being part of the problem.”

This is part of a wider revelation Carlson is having in regards to his work and how he approaches being a media figure.

Carlson admits ‘defending’ Iraq War is his big ‘regret’

When touching on how he was involved with the alleged “problem,” Carlson states that one of his biggest regrets centered on “defending the Iraq War.”

“I’ve had a million regrets,” Carlson continues. “Not being more sceptical, calling people names when I should’ve listened to what they were saying.”

In recent years, Carlson has heavily criticized interventionism, winning praise from left-leaning people such as Ro Khanna, The Atlantic reported in 2019. Carlson has admitted in recent years that he is “ashamed” of his hawkishness in the Iraq War years.

When was Tucker Carlson on Full Send?

Earlier this year, Tucker Carlson made his debut appearance on the Full Send podcast, hosted by the NELK Boys. NELK is a Canadian-American YouTube group who rose to fame making prank videos. They have since become known for their podcast, in a similar vein to Joe Rogan, where they speak to some of the most significant voices across politics and entertainment.

Carlson featured as the guest for the 79th episode of the podcast, which aired on March 10, 2023. This was his debut on the show. Carlson is one of several prominent political figures to appear on Full Send this spring. Donald Trump is the latest guest, featuring in the 83rd episode (April 20). The son of the former US President, Donald Trump Jr, also appeared on the show, on April 6.

The comments made by Tucker Carlson on Full Send, alongside a speech he made over the weekend, have stoked curiosity over the reason for his departure from FOX.
