Season 3 of Legacies arrived on The CW on January 21st but will Legacies season 3 be coming to Netflix as well? And if so, when?
Legacies is the latest instalment in The Vampire Diaries and The Originals franchise.
After making its debut in 2018, Legacies returned to The CW in January 2021 for the highly anticipated third season after season 2 ended on a nail-biting cliffhanger.
However, some fans have been left asking when Legacies season 3 is expected to arrive on Netflix.

Legacies season 3 on The CW
Season 3 of Legacies arrived on The CW on January 21st, 2021.
After suffering a delay of several months thanks to a certain global pandemic, Legacies season 3 kicked off just as season 2 did, with Hope out of action after not waking up in the season 2 finale.
While she remains unconscious, her fellow students at Salvatore School must are left in chaos, most notably when the hapless Alaric suggests a field day which takes a sour turn.
When Legacies season 3 on Netflix
- Legacies season 3 is expected to release on US Netflix eight days after the season finale has aired on The CW.
That’s right, according to Fansided Legacies season 3 will reportedly be joining seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix eight days after the final episode has aired on TV.
As a result, Netflix fans will likely have to wait until sometime in the spring or early summer to watch the new season.
How many episodes in season 3
- The total number of episodes in Legacies season 3 is unconfirmed at the time of writing.
However, both seasons 1 and 2 contained 16 episodes each.
If season 3 follows that same pattern with 16 episodes – and if episodes are released weekly with no breaks – then we could expect season 3 to arrive on US Netflix on May 14th.
If there are breaks between episodes releasing, however, then later on in May or early June seem more likely.
Season 3 of Legacies, which is expected to arrive on US Netflix eight days after the season finale, continues weekly on The CW and also available online via CWTV.
