Why Emma Hernan Is The Most Annoying Realtor On Selling Sunset Season 6

Emma Hernan is not the most prominent broker on Sunset Discount Season 6 and her unpleasant behaviour explains why. Despite the drama between Chrishell Stause and newcomer Nicole Young taking centre stage in Christine Quinn’s absence, genuine interaction takes a backseat whenever Emma speaks up. Although all realtors get angry sometimes, Emma appears to be extremely annoyed in most scenes. She joined the cast for the first time in Sunset Discount Season 4 and immediately became crucial to Christine’s downfall.

The two famous blondes share an ex-boyfriend, and Christine caused a huge explosion of the situation. Emma is an alleged Olympic swimming qualifier, high-end real estate agent, vegan food entrepreneur and angel investor. Since her first appearance on the show, she has been considered fake and scripted, but in Sunset Discount Season 6, she is worse than ever, possibly because she no longer has a feud with Christine to hide behind.

Emma Hernan is a bad actress

Despite the reality TV veil that portrays genuine conversations and reactions, Emma painfully clarifies that at least some scenes in Sunset Discount have a scripted element, as her acting appears to be secondary. She seems to read reminders more often than chat with her colleagues at the Oppenheim Group. The bras given to her while interacting with clients are more painful than watching her walk dangerously along the inside of a swimming pool. In one instance, when Bre Tiesi, a newcomer on Sunset Discount and mother of one of Nick Cannon’s many children accused Emma of talking to her buyer, Emma’s reaction appeared staged and scripted.

Emma insisted that Adam, Bre’s billionaire buyer and friend for years, just wanted her empanada bread recipe instead of accusing her of stealing from him. However, Bre’s response captured the odd interaction better: “Hide behind your empanadas.” While Bre’s dialogue felt genuine, Emma’s response didn’t.

Emma Hernan is constantly exaggerating

Besides her poor acting skills, Emma has a tendency to exaggerate. While she becomes an empathetic character in seasons 4 and 5, she has no visible enemies in season 6 of Sunset Discount. Christine made Emma a target when she joined the Oppenheim Corporation, which made it easy for Emma to take root. However, when the veil of Christine’s crime is lifted, Emma’s character is shown to be boastful and pompous. Since her first appearance, Emma has exaggerated the truth in various ways. First, she bragged that she qualified for the Swimming Olympics which is not entirely true; She swam backstroke with a time that could potentially lead to an Olympic spot. She also describes herself as a talented stock trader who helped her family make a lot of money as a teenager. While it is clear that she started trading at an early age, her tendency to exaggerate makes her claims questionable. Her statement in the first trailer, “I don’t compete with anyone but myself,” does not seem accurate; Emma is constantly trying to outdo every other broker.

None of Emma’s traits are inherently offensive since most people would be lousy actors on a reality TV show and would compete with their peers. The annoying part of Emma’s personality is that she pretends she’s above these things. She acts like the victim despite fully participating in Christine’s antics on stage. Emma also didn’t back down when confronted by Nicole at Heather’s baby shower. Her desire to constantly inflate her ego is expected from ambitious people in Sunset Discount’s crew, but she doesn’t acknowledge her constant bragging and instead talks about how “pretty” she is.

Emma will be more likable on Sunset Discount if she accepts who she truly is – an incredible businesswoman with exceptional abilities to compete with peers. While there’s no proof, it’s unlikely that Bre’s client spoke to Emma on Instagram about empanadas since Emma is a shark and has been in business since the age of 14. However, now that she doesn’t have Christine to hide behind, she can’t play the victim. The rest of the brokers have no problem showing their true nature and possessing an aggressive confrontational style. Emma would be much less annoying if she did the same.
